I definitely enjoyed my stay here as a solo traveller. Booked the hotel very last minute without planning ahead, but turned out to be a nice surprise with a very reasonable price (compared to Hakone hotels too). Even though the room may seem a bit outdated, the staff clean it well and maintain it to cater to all the necessities for travellers. The hotel is next to a big supermarket and the main streets, on top of the thay, the rooftop onsens are the best - unlimited time to use during your turn, which is kind of rare compared to other Ryokan hotels. The location is near Atami Ginza tori, not vary far from the Atami Station, about 10 min walk. The day I arrived is a rainy day and the staff at the counter is hospitable and gave me a towel to dry my hair and face. we found this place on a web site when we arrived in atami by the car. very quiet because it was on thursday. so they escorted to a large room. one big room and bedroom(futon) and small space by the ocean sided window. we didnt order the meal so out to an izakaya(less 10min walk, good sake and fresh fish). |staff were polite, but one thing i dont recommend you this hotel, there is no "open air onsen". this is the most important thing when i choose onsen...
