この場所に源泉が在るわけでは無いが記録等々が確りしている｡近代の掘削方法は主にトリコンビットで、時間短縮されていますがコア堀りが出来ない分けではなく、当事のコアが残されていても特別貴重ではない。新規の源泉井戸であれば、行政関係機関等からの要請で、知りたい深度のコアを提供しているそもそも貴重な資料であれば、野晒しで展示したりはしないですね✨

こちらは2024年06月20日の訪問となります。傾斜に旅館が密集する区画に存在する温泉です。かつて清左衛門という男がこの湯壷で焼け死んだとされます。今はこの有様ながら明治までは昼夜絶えず湧き出ていたとか。人が大きな声で呼べば大いに湧き、小さな声で呼べば小さく湧き出たといわれています。ホラーだった……。

ＪＲ東海道本線熱海駅を熱海駅前の平和通り名店街を抜けて道なりに下って行くと左手に骨董開運堂が見えてくる。その先の路地を左折した先の右角にあるのが熱海七湯の一つ清左衛門の湯である。その名の由来は農民の清左衛門という方が馬を走らせていた時にこの湯の湯壺に落ちて焼け死んだ事から付けられた様である。
