Toyoko Inn Atami Ekimae — Hotel in Atami

Other usual excellent offerings by the Toyoko-Inn hotel chain are available here. Unlike some Toyoko-Inn hotels, the stacked parking is FOC. Service is good. We asked for extra hangers and this was quickly acceded to. Our washlet was not working and the staff promptly gave us a new room after checking on availability.

The distance from Atami Station is 300 metres or 4 minutes on foot. Check with the frontdesk for eateries that suit your palate and pocket!

For our breakfast, we had meat roll and rice with bamboo shoots. These were delicious. For those who prefer a Western diet, there are bread, hot dogs, raisin bread, Japanese omelette, and green salad. :)

For late dinner, we tried two hole-in-the wall outlets. We particularly like Hiromi (check photo) for its gyoza (10 pieces), pork ramen, and oden. Total bill for three dishes was ¥2000. Service was really great! If you need a smoke and your pint of beer, you have it at Hiromi!

The hotel is about 5-min walk from the station, its large sign is visible from the station, so you don't need to look for the hotel or ask around. It's the only hotel I stayed with in my recent trip in Japan that included the breakfast for free. The room charge was reasonable even if breakfast were not included.
