This hotel is amazing, one of the best I've ever stayed at. Pros: Staff are unbelievably friendly, helpful, and do everything they can to help you. Very clean, tidy, modern rooms. UNBELIEVABLE view of the American Village area and the water. The ferris wheel is all lit up at night and it's a very cool night view. Rooms have like 70% sliding glass door windows and you can open most of them almost completely, so it's great for getting cross winds when it's warm and just feeling like you're outside. The balcony wraps almost the whole way around the room too, with a cute little Japanese ish site garden on two sections. Bathroom is HUGE, very open, and they have these amazing whirlpool bathtubs that look more like hot tubs with like a waterfall option. It's insanely cool. Floors are beautiful, simple black tile of some kind. Furniture/sofa and bed(s) and very comfortable, clean and cozy. There's a big TV but I haven't used it just cuz... Did I mention the view!? There's a little fridge, safe, and they give you lots of little bathroom things in case you forget anything.
Con: The one main "problem" with the place is that it is right up against the main road, so you do definitely hear the traffic. I am a medium to have sleeper though, and everything else. The English of the staff isn't great, but that did not hinder my experience in the least, as it was easy enough to communicate everything I needed. I'm not sure they'd be able to give you in depth advice like about what to do or anything. But I'm sure theyd probably find a way they are so dedicated. The breakfast wasn't included, and seemed a little pricey compared to the great food you can get just a couple blocks away in American Village. It's probably good though. I HIGHLY recommend you check out Ongiri Breakfast on the water BTW. I'm addicted to coffee, and they did not supply any, but did supply a little water kettle and lovely Jasmine tea.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place! Ask for a high floor to get the best views! I stayed on 8, and I think it goes to 9. It was really fantastic to sit on the patio door a coffee or...
Read moreFrom time to time my family and I stay at a hotel or resort on island to kind of get away from our normal life. But this time it was our Anniversary so I booked a room here because it’s looked really nice on Booking dot com. We get there and were greeted by Ms. Hokama-san. We’ve had excellent service before, but this young lady was by far the best. She was very warm and chatted a little bit with my wife. She saw we lived in Awase and asked if we were staying for a special occasion. My wife mentioned that we usually do this to get away, but this time it was our 2nd anniversary. Hokama-san congratulated us and showed us to our room. We relaxed and about an hour later we got a knock at the door. Not expecting anyone, I went to the door and Hokama-san had brought us a beautiful decorated plate with a piece of chocolate cake for my wife, my daughter, and I. I truly hope the owners of this hotel cherish her and pay her well, because she totally made my family and I feel at home there. The room was perfect and extremely clean. The room has a beautiful view of American Village. My baby daughter went crazy about the jacuzzi and the huge balcony. My wife loved everything about the room and service. Seeing my ladies enjoy their time at this hotel made my night. It was comfortable and the AC was strong, I love a cold room, haha. We will definitely be back. Thank you Hokama-san for making my...
Read moreThis is an excellent hotel. The service, especially from Mizuki, was exceptional but all the staff were really good it's just that Mizuki stood out as the best. The rooms are huge and the balconies are spacious. Bathroom is very spacious and well set up and they have two air-conditioners, one for the living room and one for the bedroom. But it is much cheaper than the 5-star hotels next to the beach like the Hilton, The Vessel and LeQu for a reason. It is a 600 metre walk to the beach. You can do this in 15 mins but its's hard work in the middle of Summer when it is 35 degrees celsius. It is next to a major road and the traffic noise can be bad until about 1am because there are local hoons on motor bike and hotted-up cars which make a lot of noise (it's part of the local culture for young guys to show off their hotted-up cars at the combinis). It is also strange to have two king singles rather than one king bed in the bedroom but that is a bit of a Japanese thing. I had to do some work on my laptop but they don;t have a study desk so I had to crouch over the laptop on the coffee table so tat would be an improvement. But otherwise, it is much cheaper than the 5-star hotels along the beach and it is very comfortable (despite the traffic noise) and the staff...
