Furusato — Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko

We had an amazing time during our 2-night stay at Furusato Guesthouse in Kawaguchiko.

The guesthouse is run by two incredibly kind and welcoming brothers, Tsubasa and Juan, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were always helpful, accommodating, and genuinely caring.

Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable—some rooms even have breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, which made our stay even more special.

The location is perfect: just outside of the main town, so it’s peaceful, yet still within walking distance to everything you need. There’s a 7-Eleven just a 5-minute walk away, the lake is a 10-minute stroll (or 3 minutes by bike), and the bus stop is conveniently right in front of the guesthouse. They also offer bike rentals at a great price, which is a fantastic way to explore the area.

I had an incredible stay at this traditional Japanese house! The place was like a home to me, with every corner spotless and organized, making it feel both clean and incredibly comfortable. The design beautifully captures Japanese aesthetics, creating a peaceful and authentic atmosphere that enhanced my entire experience.

Authentic Ryokan with the nicest local hosts. Free bikes to use. The host helped me plan and book for over 2 hours. His grandmother gave me local fruit. I reccomend this place most if they'd let me break the rating scale I would, this place is the best. The last day I did nothing but hangout with the family. Tsubasa is a great host. This place has comfortable futons. It is an authentic home with the walls made of sand which is a lost art in japan. It exceeds expectations in all regards.
