We arrived at Itsuki Senji restaurant in the early afternoon after all other alternatives in the area were closed. The place was preparing for dinner service, with a chef and sous-chef setting up, and to our delight, they welcomed us for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal.
Everything on the menu sounded so delicious and the prices were so reasonable, so after consulting with the sous-chef, we ended up ordering almost the entire menu… From that point on, it turned into an omakase experience, with the chef serving us dish after dish—ten in total—each one better than the last. Many of the dishes moved us to chills and even tears of excitement.
The dishes were true works of art: lightly smoked Wagyu picanha, Wagyu sirloin tempura, a rolled Wagyu cutlet with vegetables, fish sauce, pickled egg yolk, and generous shavings of black truffle, sashimi of fish and seafood, horse meat tartare, tempura seafood and vegetables—and on top of it all, as a starter, middle dish, and dessert, we had the oyster pâté dish that was so mind-blowing we ordered it three times. It was simply a perfect culinary experience, and without a doubt, the best meal we’ve ever had...

There is 2 tables of 4 and a bar with some barstools for seating. When we arrived we were so hopeful and looking forward to the food. The portion sizes were that of a fine dining restaurant. We were served mushroom and chips after 30 mins of ordering and then fried rice 40 mins the steak took 50 mins to come out after ordering. Pasta was another 15 mins. We waited way too long for the only table that was ordering food.
In the future the food should always come fast, something you can work on I’m sure.
Chef was too laid back no urgency to cooking, chatting and drinking with what looked like other staff members who had finished their shift. He probably kept wondering why we kept looking at him to see if he started cooking our food!
Steak was fatty/oily and the friend rice was the only thing that...
Read moreThis was wholeheartedly one of the best meals I’ve ever had - the experience was second to none: an intimate dining space with a gorgeous restaurant fit-out, beautifully crafted plates and bowls, where you could sit at the bar and watch the chef and sous chef in their craft. The restaurant is small in space which adds to the overall feeling - it feels like a special experience that few get to have. The food was top notch, everything was impeccably presented and tasted amazing - a real modern twist on classic Japanese cuisine but the wagyu was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten 🥩 it completely melted in your mouth and was just amazing. The drinks were plentiful and there were many Japanese options. Amazing experience, 10/10 would recommend if you are in the area. The cost is fair for the quality of service, food and experience. Thank you for a...
