The family running this airbnb type place are really lovely (helped us with restaurants, a lift to the station) But they are letting 4 rooms (inc. 2 x 5 beds) in a house with only one toilet. Read moreTraditional rooms with tatami mats and futons. One minute to the lake and restaurants are nearby so it is a great location. The hosts were really nice and made our stay better than we could have hoped for. Very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a traditional place to stay in Kawaguchiko, this...

The couple running it are so sweet and gave us a lift to the station to catch our bus back to Tokyo. Would highly recommend a better alternative to those mega hotels and feels like you’re giving money directly to a family not a...
