This is one of the best hostels I’ve been to!

The host provides pick up and drop off at kawaguchiko station (check with host on availability) and the place is so clean! The roses in the garden are beautiful. There are enough bathrooms, and there is a separate door to split the wet and dry areas, so your dry clothes will not get wet. And there’s a rack to store your belongings when you shower.

There is only one man running the place but he is really friendly and helpful. This place is his childhood home so you can tell he really takes care of the place. It really made me sad to leave the hostel - he always asks “how was your day?” “Where did you go?” “Is it cold?” - so he can adjust the temperature. He made sure to show me my bed in private, and took care to lower his voice while mentioning the bed location. Staying here felt like staying in an uncle’s place 🥺

For LADIES: The host provided sanitary pads in the ladies washroom in case of emergencies!! This is the first time I’ve seen pads being provided? And there’s a separate sink in the ladies which I appreciate so I can wash up in private. Do note it’s for sharing though.

Thank you Michi for a...

I came here as my friend recommended after she been becuz the view of Fuji mt. at the back yard.||Michi, the owner is very helpful and friendly look after everyone very well seems like he is doing everything here :) Pick up from station on the first day as the location quite far from station and shops||The room and other facilities look clean. I m not sure about the quilt cover if it get changed since it was sitting in the cupboard The hostel was fully booked so at night a bit noisy and since we sleep on the floor so we can feel while everyone walk or slam the door or even while the next room talking.I didn't sleep in the dome but room for 2 persons.I was waiting till mid night when everything quiet but no issues for me but my friend.||Ps)cloudy when I was there so can't see Fuji mt. I got one day sunshine but also can't see anyway still beautil and amazing||Price is not cheap same quests because of location but nothing offer-no towel no dryer no coffee no water apart from the mattress and blanket everything is extra charge...

Wow this was such a great hostel to stay at! ||The owner and host is super attentive and will see to it that you’re having a wonderful stay. The beds are a little softer than the regular Japan hostels but for some can still be a bit hard. ||The shower area is clean and really nice. 3 showers for the hostel and never had to wait since there is a main room before the showers where you can go to the toilet and fix your hair and touch up your face. ||The common room is also wonderful and has splendid views of Fuji with the right weather! We had the luxury of having good weather and snow in 2 days! The hostel offers some food and drinks as well. ||Rent bikes here for 1/3 of the cost in the main town (500 yen) and the owner even offers a pick up and drop at the nearby train station. He can also recommend some good trips to Fuji, the surrounding area and restaurants for breakfast/dinner/lunch. ||All in all when coming back to Fuji I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hostel...

it's a renovated Japanese style house. The decorations is tasteful and yet very very peaceful and zeb. the bunk beds are pretty creative, and everything is super duper clean. It is a bit difficult to find and quite some distance from the station, but it's tucked around many local houses of Kawaguchiko and you are not among tourists. The public area is nice, modern and yet Japanese, with a view of My Fuji (provided it's not cloudy). The back garden is great and well kept. the housekeeper is a great person. he will respond to your request and go out of your way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. I'd highly recommend this one if you don't mind a bit of driving. Was my most pleasant stay in Japan out of a few hostels.

Due to tight schedule, I could only stay 1 night here, but really enjoyed and recommend it. Mr. Michi took me from Kawaguchiko station and of course back there the next day. If you book through platforms, I'm sure you can ask him for a pick up through the message or contact function of them. The place is clean, spacious with great common room. Nearby is a park and of course the Kawaguchi lake itself. But if stay, remember to grab everything in 7/11 near station before hand. Mr. Michi even helps with your schedule, which in my case, added the infamous Chureitou and the Naruto train into my already tight schedule. Really appreciate. Totally recommend.
