三笑 — Restaurant in Fujikawaguchiko

Hands down the best meal I had in the entire trip! Both the sashimi meal set and the chilled tofu were fresh and tasted absolutely amazing. The hosts were friendly just like grandparents, explaining via a translation device what kinds of seafood were the sashimi and how to eat the tofu. They were so kind to give me a full bottle of mineral water as complimentary drink. I knew a little Japanese, so we kept chatting and they recommended me that I must go to the fireworks display near the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge that night. And when I left, the hostess gifted me a set of toothpicks with the package handmade by herself.

A very warm and unforgettable dining experience, made so special by the wonderful courtesy of the welcoming hosts. Do note that it might close earlier than stated sometimes, so do reserve your time to come earlier. 100%...

Great place! We visited with a friend on 18.10.2024 and were very satisfied)) we arrived ahead of time (the restaurant opens at 17:00) and the owner opened the place earlier so that we would not wait outside. The food was great, the fish was very fresh and the tempura was incomparable🤩 when we asked for the bill, the hostess gave us a small handmade gift, it was very nice😍 Thank you very much for the warm visit, we definitely recommend this place and plan to return on the next...

Amazing authentic place!! The food is incredible fresh and tasty - i tried the sashimi set with miso - and the place is cozy and full of charm. But what makes it even more unique is the couple that run it. I was their last minute last supper customer and their simpaty (with the use of a english translator machine ;) was just incredible. The lady is super talended in origami - just ask for a tooth stick and you will see - and i really felt japan true...
