The room that we stayed was rather small but everything was clean! I guess that's the price you pay - although many hotels in Fukuoka are small. It's great for solo traveler but it's kind of cramped for 2 people. Service was great - you get free amenities and the receptionist at that time was very helpful - she helped us book intercity bus.
