Champagne Bar & Lounge Hakuba — Restaurant in Hakuba

We went to Hakuba on the weekend after the New Year holiday for my son's ski training. After skiing, we visited a new champagne bar just a 3-minute walk from our accommodation.

The bar was already busy when I visited, because there was a live cello performance.

The inside is very spacious, with a large dining table, a fireplace in the back, two lounge-like areas for relaxing, and a counter.

When I saw the menu, I was impressed by the wide variety of champagne selections, as well as other selections including great sake collection.

Although the bar also offers some food, there were not so many varieties of food menu. But there were an assortment of appetizers, a charcuterie's platter, several kinds of pizzas, and a hand-rolled sushi set. Forgetting the cold outside, we sat in front of the fireplace sipping champagne and eating delicious charcuteries and hand-rolled sushi with fresh sashimi directly from Himi, Toyama. It was such a cozy and relaxing time that we stayed long until the end.

The people working there were also very elegant and pleasant to talk to, and we had a great time and forgot about the time. We are very happy to have a place like this opened, and we will definitely visit again for our next...

A unique place in Hakuba. Located about equidistant between Goryu and HappoOne, CB&L Hakuba is a quaint house owned by the Konda family and run by the two sisters. We had a variety of dishes starting with the assorted entree, sashimi, tempura, sukiyaki and salmon (all of which were good), accompanied with really nice sake (Masuizumi from Toyama). Visited a few days ago with some friends. Welcomed by a legendary ex-owner of a famous bar in NYC, Atsuko mama.

We had decent wine and some delicious food done by local chefs.

Snowy night in a cozy place with tasty food and wine with great laughs after bathing hot spring. Our last evening in Hakuba was just marvels.
