Had a great stay here in mid Feb 2024. This place was excellent value for money.||We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment (four blokes) which had a kitchen/dining and a lounge room. It wasn't flash, but it was clean, spacious, and more than adequate and very comfortable. Had its own hanging room for ski clothes (there's a separate drying room for boord/boots downstairs). The TV even had Netflix!||The hotel wifi was good... when it worked, but it would often cut out or only work in certain rooms - which was really annoying. Maybe they've fixed this for 24/25 season? HOWEVER - Do yourself a favour, and just spend the money on a local SIM when you land in Japan, with unlimited data. It's just not worth the hassle of having bad wifi internet. And it can often be bad at times at ALL hotels.||Beau and his staff team were mostly Aussies/Kiwis, so it was easy to get local knowledge. They were very helpful and friendly. The included daily breakfast upstairs in the dining room, including filtered coffee, was great. They cook to order. And they have a complimentary shuttle van to take guests to the 2 or 3 closest resorts (47/Goryu and One) in the morning - which is a massive advantage when you're new to Hakuba and you're trying to figure out the place and it's many different resorts and shuttle services!||The hotel has its own sports bar on the ground floor, with cheap drinks. It's also surrounded by numerous restaurants, retail shops and drinking establishments, literally steps away.||Some of the free resort shuttles drive straight up the street, otherwise it's a short walk down to the main road to get the paid (Y200ish) Hakuba inter-resort bus (which is free with a loaded valid all valley lift pass).||Highly recommend this place! Contact them via email - they can basically answer all your questions and arrange nearly everything for you - even private van pickup/drop off to the...

Read moreI recently returned from a ski trip to Hakuba with 13 friends and while we did not get the chest-deep Japow that we were searching for due to an unseasonably mild winter, the staff and accommodations at the Echo Hotel made our trip a 10 out of 10!||||The hotel has everything one would need for a great ski vacation and the ancillary services were top-notch. Everything from the organized bus transfer from Nagano Station, to perfect room setups, delicious free breakfast, onsite ski storage, free daily mountain shuttles and fun onsite bar were fantastic. In addition, the location was perfect with plenty of dining and nightlife options within walking distance in Echoland and most ski resorts just minutes away. ||||Lastly, John, Koichi and the entire staff were so hospitable and accommodating. We even had a member of our group go down with a dislocated shoulder and John was amazing - coming right to our aide in helping us organize a trip to the local clinic and physical therapy appointments.||||Staying at the Echo Hotel is a no brainer for anyone considering a ski trip to Hakuba and we cannot wait to return - hopefully with deeper...
