We stayed 3 nights in a Japanese style room, the room was huge and although it was a futon bed, there were loads of futons so we piled them up, the duvets were really nice and plush, resulting in a brilliant sleep.|The staff were very welcoming and kind, helping wherever they could (free shuttles to and from train station).|Breakfast was also very good, cereal, toast, bread, juice and coffee provided (fresh ground coffee complimentary whenever the bar is open) and a cooked breakfast that was different each day. |The only comment I have to make is that the bar (which is also a huge communal space) only has one draft beer and other than that just has a huge selection of Japanese whiskeys (which isn’t a bad thing) |It was a tad expensive and we never saw anyone drinking in there (says a lot for a resort filled with Australians) I just thought that they could be pulling way more trade with a better run of drinks and maybe sink to a happy hour post ski. |Overall this was a brilliant stay with all bases covered, great location,...
Read moreStayed at Nomad Hakuba for a week of snowboarding in January 2019. Sho and the crew at Nomad were really welcoming and full of helpful information. The accommodation was very clean and well looked after. The included breakfast was great and made getting out on to the slopes early, really easy.||The accommodation was warm, clean and quiet which helps after a long day on the slopes. There is a mix of both western and Japanese style beds available.||Nomad has communal showers and Japanese bath for men and women, which suited us fine but isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. There is 1 individual/ private shower each for men and women.||Nomad has a cozy little Whisky Bar downstairs, and is a 5min walk to Hakuba Base Station to catch busses for the different ski areas, or transfers to Narita etc.|There is also a good sized drying room downstairs for snow gear, and washing facilities.||Lots of great bars, restaurants, cafes and shops all within 5mins walk.||Highly recommend Nomad Hakuba, and will book here again on my next...
Read moreour group of 6 stayed at the nomad for 8 nights. The rooms were large and comfortable and the amenities where great. ||They had showers as well as a bathing room with onsen that we used everyday after hitting the slopes. They have a large drying room as well as a washer dryer which came in real handy. ||||The best part of our stay was the staff. Sho and his team made us feel so welcome and helped us where ever they could. ||From making dinner reservations to giving us the inside scoop on where to purchase Japanese Whiskey, nothing was to much trouble. A must do is one of their Whiskey and/or Gin tastings!||The location was also great as you were in short walking distance from Happo Base camp where most of the shuttle buses leave from, making it easy to get to the slopes. ||||Our whole group agreed that we would stay at the Nomad again...
