Hotel Foxtrot — Hotel in Hakuba

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Foxtrot! It’s a new lodge in Echoland and the owners, Nellie and Byron, have really thrown their heart and soul into the place and it shows. The bar and common space is so inviting and the perfect place to chill out after a big day on the hill. Daily happy hour and food also means you don’t need to leave for dinner and fun. You can walk to Happo lifts from the lodge or take a short bus to Goryu/47. We had a car and Byron dug it out for us every morning like a legend he is!

The rooms are also large and the beds are so comfy! If you want a western style bed this is the best one I’ve found in Japan. Toilets and showers are shared but I never found that an issue. They are always clean and the water pressure is great.

What makes this places special is definitely the owners and staff! They offered great suggestions on where to ride and eat. We were so sad to leave after our 8 nights that we actually came back for 2 more nights before leaving Hakuba! Will definitely be back...

My family and I stayed at Foxtrot in Hakuba for six nights during an incredible Japow powder ski trip, and it was truly unforgettable! The hospitality provided by Aussies Byron and Nellie, along with their friendly and customer-focused staff, was exceptional.

The location is perfect – within walking distance of Echoland's casual and friendly restaurants and the bus station that provides easy access to all the amazing Hakuba Valley ski fields. The cosy atmosphere, combined with the attention to detail and care from the hosts, made our trip even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend Foxtrot for anyone visiting Hakuba! We'll definitely return for another perfect...
