Keimichi Guesthouse — Hotel in Hakuba

Mr. Keimichi, the host of the guesthouse, was exceptionally hospitable and went out of his way to ensure our comfort during our stay. He even assisted us in calling a taxi to the ski resort and provided us with detailed information. Our two-night stay was delightful, and we appreciated the bicycles that were available for guests to use. The guesthouse is located a 20-minute walk from Hakuba station, with beautiful scenery in the spring. However, the journey is slightly steep, and carrying luggage may pose some difficulties, so it is advisable to take a taxi for a more comfortable commute.

The automated check-in system was smooth and convenient. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a small staircase that led to a mezzanine. The shared bathrooms and toilets were equally clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped with essential appliances such as a microwave, stove, and fridge. Main door and room door were all managed by code keys. No need to walk around with physical keys, but need to remember the code. Kitchen, toilets, shower rooms, basins, and pots for hot water were all shared, but very clean. |We were able to borrow the bikes from this guest house for a couple of hours and did a shopping at the main supermarket in Hakuba. No shops around this guest house and we didn't have a car, so these bikes were saviours. Please note that there were only three bikes available, and it might be a bit competitive to rent the bike. It looks like that the guests on the day were all from different countries, so I felt a bit of multiculturalism at this...

I love this place. It was a perfect place for our 3 day getaway to Hakuba Valley. We walked here from the train station, took about 15-20 minutes, easy to navigate. 9 minute walk to Echoland. The staff here are polite and check in was easy. There's locks available in the lounge for luggage storage. The room was super spacious for two people.
