Soba and Local Fish Hiroshige — Restaurant in Izu

Honestly we feel so uncomfortable because the price was not transparent. This restaurant was proper with great bamboo view and the staffs and owner here were nice and welcomed. But the food is not so satisfying. We came for the Kimme sea bream when we saw the menu and price: 2900 yen. When we were ordering, the price was 3190 yen with tax, but the price went up to 3500 yen when we pay. Same case with the bowl of rice we ordered ( we were told 400 yen but later 5500 yen).

I think the owner should have told the customers if the food is charged more. The sea bream was half- portion which is fine. The fish is fresh and tastes good. The sashimi however was not good at all especially the Tuna. The Tuna has a dark pinkish color with black dots. It was soggy and fishy. In general, if you only order the sea bream and came for the view, you could try this restaurant. Make sure you check and check the price first. It is definitely...

English The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. That said, the overall experience was disappointing. The prices on the menu outside were much lower than the actual prices inside, which came as a surprise once we sat down. The portions were much smaller than expected based on the photos, and unfortunately, the fish didn’t taste very fresh.
