Super helpful owners, who have thought through every detail of their intimate and well designed guesthouse. It’s small, and the toilets are a squeeze but the common areas are nice, the little corner garden is lovely, and the rooms are fit for purpose. It’s mainly dorms, so you have the annoyance of stupid people who rustle plastic bags and zip unzip zip unzip bags at 6am, but that’s what ear plugs are for (and the owners supply them for free!) Its an authentic vibe with a cool touch. Price was unbeatable for the quality I received. Bus is 25 mins to the centre. Easy to find. Hiring the bike was my best tip, and I did...

Such a perfect place to feel what a real traditonal kyoto-styled life is like ! My lil sister and i stayed two nights in a twin tadami room 1st floor. House is like 90 years old but really beautiful, charming and surprisingly well preserved. In the common area or living room you can see a little japanese traditonal garden with a stone lantern which is so beautiful. A couple run this guesthouse, who are so friendly and willing to help the guests as possible as they can. They gave us a guide map for the neighberhood, it was packed with hidden jewels. I will definitely stay here if I...
