I was here a few days ago. The best food experience i had in kyoto. There is no english menu but i tried translating with chatgbt. I ordered a very special fish and i had no idea how to eat it. Everybody laughed in the restaurant while the chef cut my fish into pieces i could eat lol. It was so much fun. After that i had no idea what to order and the lady asked me do you have any allergies? I said i didn't and they served me all kinds of food. I didn't have to choose or translate anymore and it was the best. Really loved this place. And also: many restaurants like this you have to reserve your spot. Here I walked in and got a seat. I was so happy. And one of the people in the restaurant had a chat with me and said i came to the right place because apperently the restaurant was really good. And let me tell you she was right. It was so delicious. Highly recommend if you like a surprise. In the end I payed 4000 yen. I couldn't believe it was so cheap because of the quality and the chef serving you like it was some...
Read moreDuring our 10-day-trip in Japan, this was by far the best experience we’ve had.
The menu was only in Japanese but the server was very friendly and helped us understand exactly what we could order.
Their set menu costs 5,000 yen, but when we asked what alternatives they had to offer, they simply asked for our budget and served a menu that would fit our budget.
During the whole dining experience, the family was very sweet, and helped us understand what we were being served, using Google Translate, and their best English.
As for the food, it was a traditional Japanese menu with the most amazing Sashimi tuna. Overall a great traditional food, and an even better experience.
Even though it might seem challenging, without an English menu, I can assure you that this will be an amazing experience. Completely...

I ended up telling her to order for me what does she recommend, and i had a plate of sashimi which was delicios and a tempura fish. The appetizer is mandatory for seating in the place and was 700yen, and i ended ip paying a bit over 5000 yen for everything. I had a sake too, and the provide as usual free water. I cannot reccomend enough this place, I was alone there and I loved the...
