Stayed in early Oct 2019. Seems new and very clean, good bed & facilities. Insufficient guidance/instruction in english on how to use facilties eg. clothe dryer and how to dispose trash outside (we wanted to be responsible visitors). Had to insist that we have booking confirmation for its shuttle bus from guest center to the site. The biggest issue is the hard pillow making it's hard to get good sleep (will give more star if it's softer. Later i found out that all subsequent hostels we stayed at have hard pillows, is it japanese thing?). Take note of credit card when making payment, as it requires non-signing type. Close to 1km from nearest train station (JR Tambaguchi) but actually there are JR bus stops nearby (nanajo omiya near 7-11), a small saving if you use JR pass and help protect yr luggage's tires a little bit. Would like to suggest to provide a simple cleaning tool ie. little broom to clean toilet area. Overall it was good enough but rather offended by it's lack of empathy to non japanese &...
