Miei-do and Amida-do are connected by a passageway for disciples and a bell-ringing passage for monks. The Amida-do Hall of Honganji Temple is the hall where the statue of Amida Nyorai is enshrined, and the current building was rebuilt in 1760. It is much larger than the old hall built in 1618. Although its floor plan of 45.2 meters in rows and 42.1 meters in width between beams is slightly smaller than Mieido, it is one of the largest Amida halls and main halls of Shinshu temples in Japan, and is one of the largest Shinshu temples in Japan. It became a model. It has a very similar appearance to Mieido, with a wide tatami-floored outer hall and a majestic inner hall decorated with gold leaf, carvings, and coloring, but with a symmetrical plan, adjusted pillar positions, and ingenuity in the structure, the building incorporates a lot of Zen Buddhism.
