Japan 2025; Sakura shop This new Narita gift shop, called Sakura Modern and Traditional Japanese Handcrafts (which is just like its sister shop {called Tenshodo} in Terminal 1 at Gate 32 in the Narita/Tokyo airport), is awesome. I am a shopper for value at reasonable prices. I’ve been shopping at the airport shop for many years and was delighted to chance across the brand new sister shop Sakura, in Narita on the same street as the temple. I loved the unique and impressive selection of Japanese items which are great for yourself or as a gift from Japan for a friend. Items span the range in size and price, including smaller Japanese fabric items (made from beautiful kimono fabric) -- such as fabric key rings, fabric coin purses, fabric eyeglass holders; fabric shoe laces; fabric barrettes; cloisonne and handmade jewelry and gorgeous hairpins; as well as slightly larger items such as obis and Tetsubin. Items sold are beautiful, utilitarian and will be used, rather than cluttering a shelf. All items are reasonably priced based on their value. Something for everyone. Sa-kura is attended by knowledgeable, helpful professionals. The staff is incredibly helpful, and never overbearing, making it a true pleasure to shop there. Customer service is top notch! The physical setting is light and bright, and the shelves are laid out beautifully (not overcrowded, so you can actually really see the items, rather than just a blur of things). Easy to look through for your perfect quality gifts. Both shops are the best gift shops I’ve encountered anywhere. Outstanding. I highly recommend visiting them. It will...
