La'gent Hotel Osaka Bay — Hotel in Osaka

We were looking for a "value hotel" and got a great deal from a travel site.. booked this hotel at more than HALF THE PRICE of similar hotels in Namba and nearby Universal Studios Japan. At this price, we were not expecting too much (just the basics and adequate comfort ). We were blown away as this hotel exceeded all our expectations !||It's located very near Sakurajima Station. Travelling from Kansai Airport to the hotel is a breeze, with just 1 quick transfer . The stations have elevators so its very convenient. You can easily wheel your luggage to and from the station to the hotel.||Location is also within walking distance to USJ and a Ferry Service which will take you to the Osaka Aquarium. ||As mentioned, its readily accessible by Train. (as low as 190 yen or $1.70 one way fare to Namba/Dotonburi area) After a tiring day from walking all around Osaka, we would stop by one of the 2 nearby convenience stores (Lawson and 7-11) to grab some midnight snacks (or for breakfast). Or, you may just head straight to the hotel and get snacks from it's 3 vending machines. They even have an ice cube dispenser with cups. Grab some free amenities at the lobby on your way up..must haves are the Sakura Bath Powders for a hot dip in our room's bath tub to sooth our aching feet and muscles. Water Closet is very high tech and one the i would only expect from a 5 star hotel (in fact the 5 star hotels I've been to don't have this)||La'gent really made us feel its our home...

The hotel location is very near to USJ, near the train station before USJ. Even you can walk to USJ entrance, it's about 20 minutes of walking. The hotel has 3 level floor and the walls on the alley is painted with USJ like pictures, in my view the hotel really for the traveler who would go to the USJ. The room has no internal phone, if you want to reach the front office. They supply the ameneties free in the lobby so the hotel guests could take them before going to their room. The room equipped with shoe dryer so it would be very useful after you're back from USJ. The furniture is very minimalist one table and two hard plastic chairs, but it's okey. They don't have cloth closet, but they provide many hangers on the wall. The room equipped with safe deposit box and refrigerator. The bathroom and the toilet is separated, equipped with liquid body bath, conditioner and shampoo from brand Pola. Like other hotel in Japan, they also provide pajamas to sleep. The breakfast is complete enough but it would be nicer if they add the menu variation. The staff is quite ok, but some of them is from outside Japan and they could'nt speak English and Japanese very well. Very minor things is that they should give instruction to operate the Air Cond, because the remote controller is in Japanese only. Overall is very satisfyung to stay in La'gent Hotel Osaka Bay. Recommended to whoever wanted...

The hotel is near the Universal Studio Japan, Sakurajima station, Zepp Osaka Bayside, Lawson and 711 convinient store. The check in and check out is smooth and fast. The breakfast is great, so with the kitchen staff, very polite and friendly. Lots of amenities (no coffee and mineral water though). The kitchen staff were kind but the front desk enployees rarely smile and one of the front lady is a little rude. The 2nd parking cost us only 1000 yen (cheaper compared to other hotel's parking fee) and is safe but took 15 minutes to walk back in the hotel. Our room is spacious and clean, with separate bath and toilet. The bathtub is big and spacious with good water pressure. The airconditioning is not centralized so we can control the room temperature which is a good thing. Not so soundproof, we can hear noises from the hallway. Overall it's a pleasant stay....
