I rarely give all 5* across the board and this Capsule Hotel owns it! Rooms(the capsule) - immaculately clean. Good lighting and space, even good for 6'4" people, electric socket and emergency torch inside cabin. **The capsule was still too warm, as a few members already mentioned. They should adjust the temperature. The common areas(toilets, washing areas, resting areas and shower floor), dustless, not water stain, always tidy, and no humid)/moldy smell. Security - only registered guests can access the building. Mens and womens floors are separated with key access only (except common area). Every guest has own locker, large enough to store a medium case, a backpack, space to hang clothes, and a pair of shoes. Check in is automatically done by machine. Need to input confirmation number and scan passport. Staff can assist if needed. Others - free amenities such as toothpaste brush, razors, cotton buds, slippers (looks cheap but durable). Location- from CTS (Chitose Airport take bus #88, will take you to Sapporo City Centre, get off at Susukino, walk another 5 mins) The area is full of girly bars, but I don't see as a red light district. Place and people around this area at night are very decent and never pushy and grab you. I stayed 2 nights, and this place is highly recommended for solos who don't want to spend too much on accomodation. 3,800yen/night no complaints and a real deal. Price is almost the same if booked from platforms. Pay when you check in anyway. Capsule Hotel should pay...
Read moreLocation is great. The pillow is not a pillow. It’s made from a beanbag material and feels rock solid and not comfortable to sleep with. I went a bought a pillow from a 100 yen shop. I’m not sure if I’m sensitive to heat, but the room is so hot. I wasn’t able to sleep at all it was so hot and the air conditioning can’t really be changed because it’s the same for everyone. I had to go and buy a mini fan but even this didn’t really help much. I don’t understand why hotels feel the need to make the rooms feel like a sauna just because it’s freezing cold outside! However the lady at the front desk was understanding and gave me a different room on a lower floor that was slightly cooler. Like seriously, lower the temperature in the rooms no one wants to...
Read moreA great stay! You have a generously sized locker that will fit a few duffels and a pair of shoes up top. It locks by a keycard, so you can drop your stuff off, hit the city, then come back later and crash. The locker areas are separated off from the sleeping area, so you don’t generally don’t hear people zipping and unzipping luggage.I was concerned that the noise from other people would be bad and I wouldn’t be able to sleep, but I was happy to be proven wrong! I didn’t get back until late in the evening though, so it might be...
