Unethical pricing and disrespectful staff – I have started a full refund claim.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan — not only due to the financial overcharge, but also because of the extremely unprofessional and rude behavior of the front desk staff.
I booked a 10-night stay through Booking.com for 113,710 JPY, only to find out afterwards that the same stay was being offered on your official website for 92,901 JPY. That’s a shocking 20,809 JPY difference — almost three nights of overpayment.
When I asked for this unfair difference to be addressed, the hotel offered no help. Other hotels in Japan have shown goodwill in such situations, but your staff clearly had no intention of doing the right thing.
On top of that, the front desk employees openly laughed at guests who didn’t pronounce Japanese words perfectly — including myself. This behavior is disgraceful, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable in any hospitality environment. Your staff need urgent training in basic respect and professionalism.
Because of your pricing deception and staff misconduct, I have officially initiated a chargeback through my bank, and I intend to recover the full amount I paid. I will also report this incident on multiple platforms to warn future guests.

Read moreThe hotel is newly built and stylist. The room is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The pillow and the mate are very comfort. I have a good sleep every night. There is thousand of choices of restaurant nearby. The room rate is reasonable. However the cleaniness of the lobby and corridors are really very poor especially the carpet. It is full of tiny rubbish whenever I pass. I even saw the bed sheets scattering on the corridor when I back at night. I think the housekeeper will do the cleanliness at night. I'd never and ever seen such situation in my journey. Usually, they will do the cleanliness after the check out time around 11:00 - 15:00 before the check in time. Moreover, the users/guests living in the hotel did not keep the hotel in good condition. Even it is a newly built hotel, there is stain on the sofa. It is very regret to have poor cleanliness and maintenance in this hotel. On the whole, it is a very comfortable and stylist hotel without good cleanliness and maintenance. Read moreI had the most unfortunately experience with a 3rd party booking website which resulted me arrived just before Christmas Eve only to find my room booking wasn't confirmed with the hotel, even though it was confirmed with the 3rd party booking website. It was very distressing because the hotel was fully booked and it was Christmas period and most hotels were booked out. Thankfully though, the front desk staff along with the duty manager, came to our rescue and was able to provide me a room last minute. Even though it was a twin (we booked a queen suite), we were more than happy with the room (the excellent service provided).
Besides the above, the hotel was perfectly located close to all the nightlife and restaurants. The hotel itself was surprisingly modern with great amenities. The room was spacious for a Japanese hotel room. It was not what I was expecting from a Travelodge hotel.
