Takamatsu with its great draw of the Ritsurin Gardens has very little budget accommodation - but it was a little disappointing that this - not that cheap hostel/hotel didn't turn out nearly as fresh & well serviced as web-photos portray. ||Almost zero contact with any staff for our one night stay.||The google map location for this hotel of little assistance as marker about 3 blocks from real location.||In hindsight, directions given from 'Kataharamachi' electric station were more useful.||Shame this hotel appears so neglected as it has the bones of one of those successful word-of- mouth essential stops for overseas travellers on the beautiful...

Got the impression that this was actually a youth hostel judging by the clientele and standard of rooms. The rooms are very large - more like a studio but very basic and quite run down.||||Building is made of concrete with very little furniture to soak up sounds so very noisy. One of the few times that we weren't able to speak English with staff. Our fault of course for not speaking Japanese, but interesting...

Big room, onsen is just 1 min walk to another sister hotel.

please note it is in quiet road and there is not staff in lobby and light switched off, you need call them from sister hotel for assistance. and no security at all, girl travel alone may feel scared LOL. other are just fine.
