WOW. One of my most memorable meals in all my trips to Japan!

From the greeting at the door to the goodbyes at the end, it was such a lovely dinner and perfect celebration evening for us.

We got the vegan set meal for dinner in a private room and we were just wowed by the unique courses, the lovely service, and the whole ambiance of the place.

It's a 3rd generation family run restaurant, and the husband and son chefs were there to greet us as we left.

Would highly recommend this place to anyone...

Beautiful Ryotei in Takamatsu. We were staying nearby and wanted a traditional Kaiseki experience and Nicho did not disappoint. Impeccable service and exquisite food, this is one way to get a little bit of traditional Japan that you won't find...

高松の最高級料亭・二蝶。今日は、法要の後で一家4人水入らずの昼会席。息子たちもそれぞれ結婚して一家を構えた現在、こうして親子4人だけで揃う機会は久しぶりだし貴重だ。内庭に面したトイレ付きの個室でゆったりとお月見の季節らしい美味しい料理と讃岐の地酒をいただく。 栗・柿・無花果の白和え、玉子豆腐・松茸の汁椀(月見仕立て)、アコウ・針魚・才巻海老の刺身(焼き茄子塩付き)、イクラおろし・梭子魚の寿司・松茸山椒煮・鯵海苔巻・銀杏・零余子、鰆の西京味噌焼き、ワタリガニ・松茸・栗の餡掛け、鱧と野菜の揚物、子持ち鮎と松茸の炊き込みご飯、お新香、洋梨とそのアイス・柿・シャインマスカット・長野パープルの水菓子のコース。見た目も食材と器の季節感も、もちろん味も文句なし。ご馳走さまでした。 二蝶の冬の隠れた名物・越前蟹のコース（4万円・税サ別）。料理長のご主人が故郷から取り寄せるタグ付きの立派な越前蟹を様々な調理法で堪能することができる。酢の物、椀物（蟹のほぐし身の団子（餅入り）・鶯菜・大黒シメジ）、蟹の握り寿司2カン（オリーブオイル掛け）、焼蟹（椎茸添え）、蟹饅頭の揚物（海老芋添え）、蟹のしゃぶしゃぶ、蟹雑炊、水菓子（苺のフロマージュ）、抹茶という贅沢なコースで大満足。お腹一杯で蟹雑炊を完食できなかったのが残念だった。 2023年4月上旬に二蝶が日本橋高島屋の催事会場に出店してお弁当などを販売するというので、金毘羅歌舞伎で提供されるかぶきもの弁当（5400円）と春祝魚寿司（鰆の押し寿司）、醤油豆などを購入し、久しぶりに讃岐の味を堪能した。
