Best Mexican food I’ve had in Asia hands down! What an amazing hidden gem, a nice cozy restaurant with friendly staff, professional service and a super talented charming chef! Walking into here takes you away from the bustling Tokyo city life and teleports you into the heart of Mexico for sure. Great music taste! All the food is phenomenal; fresh and quality ingredients with incredible authentic taste! The aguachile verde is a must if you can handle spice! The beef tongue tacos as well as the beef tongue soup was tender and delectable. The pulpo was fire! Highly recommend. To be honest, you can’t go wrong with anything here. Every time I leave I can’t wait to return and try more! I also really love the dishes the food is served on. This place is by far a favorite place for me not just in Japan but in the world! Muchas...
Read moreWent for dinner on a weeknight. A reservation is highly recommended. I was able to make it the night before. The venue has around 15 seats. The staff are friendly. The menu has pictures and descriptions in English. I ordered limonada, tortilla chips with guacamole, al pastor tacos, and 3 tacos set. The limonada was just water with lemon, I wouldn't order it again. The guacamole was ok, it was just avocado with a little cilantro. The al pastor tacos were decent, light on flavor. I got shrimp, carnitas, and chicken for the set. The shrimp were good. The chicken was really tasty, well seasoned, and the carnitas were tender, though half of the portion was fat. I would order all three again. The soft shell tacos were nice. The quality of the food for the value is better than many places. Paid in...
Read moreThis little gem is hidden away in Yotsuya, away from the main tourist areas, and is really worthwhile travelling for - some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, and a real surprise. The place is small and can only cater for about 12 seats (maybe a few more if you really squished them in). There is one chef and one front of house but they are both super talented, attentive and friendly. We had a number of dishes over an hour and a half, with plenty of time to enjoy amazingly crafted (and inexpensive cocktails) in between, so don't be in a rush - enjoy the experience. A great selection of tequila and mezcal is on offer as well. Good mix of tourists and locals. Cannot recommend...
