A really enjoyable stay in Tokyo. The location is right in the middle and everything is reachable within an hour (Ghibli museum and Kamakura as an example). Major districts are 20 minutes away. The two nearest stations are 5 and 10 minutes away. The rooms are nothing too special but are enough to get some sleep and take a shower. The rooms are clean and you can always request a clean if you feel like it. The owners made sure to cover things travelers might miss (tooth brush, razor etc.). You can also wash and dry your cloths within the hotels wash room for a small fee. The hotel offers a nice entry hall where you may take a seat, eat a meal or ask the owners for advice (I highly recommend asking Yuni for some recommendations 😊). The hotel has a nice rooftop where you can enjoy some drinks with a nice view in the evening (really nice during summer evenings). The hotel has a lot of charm and the owners are really nice. The owners speak English really well and can help you if you have some trouble. This is a superb choice if you are travelling to Japan/Tokyo for the first time.

Rooms were larger than normal hotels, me and two other friends were able to move all our luggages into the room, albeit only one of us were only able to open the luggage one at a time. To elevate the issue the hotel has a luggage closet right out of your rooms to store it in so that the room has more space to use. There was also a rooftop area for guest to relax/eat with a pretty nice view of the area. Location was also great with a station just down the hotel, although there is a slight walk uphill to the hotel every-time we come back from the station but eventually you’ll get used to it. Owners were fantastic and friendly for our entire stay and on our first day had given us a guide of the nearby area of the hotel such as views and where to find good food. Our stay was amazing and i would definitely book this hotel again for my future stays in tokyo.

Simple but the most comfortable and welcoming place I’ve ever stayed in. The hospitality of Shin was better than any 5-star hotel I’ve stayed in. Hotel Yuni was our home for almost a week. Shin was caring and very nice every day no matter how tired we noticed he was because he was the only person we saw at the desk the whole time we were there. The room was perfect for the 3 of us. Shin’s yuzu tea was the best pick me up on the days we came back exhausted from our exploring. We would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Yuni.

The hosts are the loveliest, kindest, most helpful people you'll meet. They made us a delicious tea when we first arrived and never hesitated to help us whenever we asked either for directions, recommendations for places to go, the best way to get to the airport, when we needed help translating something or with our bags, anything. They always greeted us with the best of moods whenever we came back after a long day out, asking if we had enjoyed ourselves and if there was anything we needed. The rooms are small but cosy, neat, warm and very clean and there's lockers in the hallway if you want your bags our of the way (those were very helpful). You have everything you need regarding toiletries, as well as a hairdryer, towels, slippers and hangers. Our room also had a fridge and in the hallway you can find extra things you might need, including an electric kettle and cutlery. There's also a lovely common room where you can sit down and eat your well-deserved 7/11 dinner after a long day. The location is great. There is the matter of the walk from the station as the street the hotel is on is uphill but having the train be so close (4-5 min walk), with 3 close-by konbinis and a couple of small but excellent and delicious ramen places just around the corner made it that we came to consider a very small con that we just laughed about how out of shape we were while walking to the hotel. Coming back to Japan one day is a given but I'm also absolutely coming back to Yuni Star Club Hotel as I could not have asked for a more welcoming stay. It was such a pleasure to stay here, they made me feel at home even thousands of kilometres aways. とても親切にしていただき本当にありがとうございました!그리고 우리의 숙박을 정말 즐거운 시간으로 만들어...

The hospitality at this accommodation exceeded all our previous travel experiences, with the owner Yuni providing exceptional service from check-in to check-out. Her warm, enthusiastic presence and constant attention to guests' needs created a genuinely welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.

The property offers excellent value, particularly considering Japan's high cost of living. Its strategic location near major Japanese universities is complemented by convenient access to public transportation and essential amenities, including restaurants, cafes, a pharmacy, and a 24-hour Family Mart convenience store. However, potential guests should note that reaching the hotel requires walking up an inclined road, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues or lower fitness levels, though it does provide good exercise for most visitors.

While the rooms are modestly sized, they comfortably accommodate two people. For our family of five, we reserved two rooms. The simple furnishings suited our needs perfectly since we spent most of our time exploring Tokyo and taking a day trip to Mount Fuji.

For those departing through Narita airport with substantial luggage, we highly recommend taking advantage of Yuni's airport transfer service – it's well worth the investment.

Based on our experience, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this...
