Went with 1 other person for lunch. We ordered ramen: a basic bowl currently costs 730 yen. The most expensive single dish on the menu currently costs 1080 yen. The restaurant is small and seats roughly a dozen people. Tea is complementary, as usual at Japanese restaurants, and beer is available for purchase. Overall I found the ramen excellent. The noodles are firm and fresh-tasting, and the miso broth is thick and flavorful. (If this restaurant were located in San Francisco, it would be one of the top 3 ramen places in the city.)

If you're new to Japan and don't speak or read Japanese, here are some tips on ordering using the vending machine in the front of the restaurant. Insert your money first, then press the buttons for your order. When you're done, give the printed ticket to the host, who will point out your seat. There are no English labels, but you can figure out which button to press by looking at the photos on the sign to the left, then looking for the button with the same symbols and price on the vending machine. The staff speaks very little English but they are friendly and efficient and try their best...

坂の途中に麺や庄のさんはあります。 店内を覗くとすぐに入れそうだったので入店しました。店内は黒っぽい木目調で小洒落感もあります。

注文は入口付近の発券機で発券します。 現金は使えないので注意して下さい。 限定の牡蠣味噌らーめんを注文しました。 夕方だったのですが、まだ大丈夫だったようです。先客は3名程度で、5分ほどで着丼です。 紙エプロンとエアゴムは店員さんに言うと貰えます。

上の具材は牡蠣2ケ、チャーシュー、みじん玉ねぎ、ニラ、三つ葉、ゆずとおろし大根です。

一口スープを啜ると、濃厚な味噌に牡蠣の旨味が合わさって美味しいですね。これは寒い冬の日のほうが合う気もしました。(伺ったのは少し暖かくなった2025年3月) 麺は米粉が入っているらしく、少しモチモチとした面白い食感でスープに合っています。 上の具材はそれぞれ美味しかったのですが、大根おろしに柚子が入ったトッピングは自分的にはうーんみたいな感じでした。

全体的に凝ったラーメンといった印象で美味しかったです!冬の日にまた食べたいですね!

帰り際にはサラリーマンの団体が入ってきました。混む時間帯は混むのかも知れません。 ティッシュは座席の上に吊り下がっています。気づきにくいので書いておきます、

Oyster-chan dove into the miso ramen...

Middle of the slope is Menya Shono.

When I looked inside, it looked like I could get in right away, so I went in. The interior is decorated with dark wood and has a chic feel.

You order from the ticket machine near the entrance.

Please note that cash is not accepted.

I ordered the limited edition oyster miso ramen.

It was early evening, but it seemed fine. There were about three customers ahead of me, and the bowl arrived in about five minutes. If you ask the staff, they will give you paper aprons and air vents for meals.

The toppings on top were two oysters, char siu, finely chopped onion, Chinese chives, mitsuba, yuzu, and grated daikon radish.

When I took a sip of the soup, the rich miso combined with the umami of the oysters was delicious. I felt that this would be better suited to a cold winter's day. (I visited in March 2025 when it was a little warmer) The noodles seem to contain rice flour, and have a slightly chewy and interesting texture that goes well with the soup. Each of the toppings was delicious, but the topping of grated daikon radish and yuzu was a bit disappointing to me. Overall, it was a delicious ramen with an elaborate flavor! I'd like to eat it again on a winter's day!

The staff were very polite!

As I was leaving, a group of office workers came in. It may get busy during busy times.

Excellent ramen. I ordered the ajitama ramen which was delicious, with very good toppings including an egg, chashu and menma. The broth is thick and creamy but super tasty. The noodles were firm and tasty and remained hot throughout the meal. The food came out super quickly and ordering is really easy with a screen to order from in English and is cashless. This Mensho was one of the top 100 ramen spots in Tokyo on Tabelog in 2023 and it definitely shows. A very satisfying meal! The ramen plus coke was 1330 yen, which is...

자신의 트위터에서도 자신을 'Ramen Creator' 라 지칭하며 2005년 문을 열어 도쿄에 기반을 둔 '멘쇼그룹' 의 대표이자 센스있는 라멘을 세계 각지역에 알린 쇼노 토무하루(庄野 智治)의 시작점, '멘야 쇼노(麺や庄の)'를 가본다 브레이크타임이 없으니 라멘메니아에겐 감사한 식당이다 점심피크타임을 피해서인지 다행이도 대기줄은 없었다 오늘의 창작라멘을 먹으러 왔는데 이미 매진이다 안타깝다... 역시나 백명점에 오른곳 가려진 하얀색종이를 누르고 싶지만 다음기회에 도전을 해봐야겠다 창작라멘이 워낙 예쁘게 보였는데 역시나 라멘메니아들이 오전부터 줄을 서 다 먹고 간게 틀림없다!! 츠케멘 기본으로 정했다 TRY에서 꾸준하게 올해의 라멘으로 선정된곳인데 2009년 당시의 한스 엔도 사인이 걸려있는게 기분이 좋다 다찌만 15석이 마련되어 있고 내부엔 의외로 관광객외국인들이 많았다 더 특이한것은 점원중 외국인이 세명이며 영어를 사용하는 두명과 중국인 한명이 있었다 아시아계 점원이 두명에 백인이 한명인데 이런 광경은 처음이다!! 접객이 영어로도 이뤄지지만 나에겐 일본어로 츠케멘의 면을 차갑게 할것인지 뜨겁게 할것인지 물어보길래 '차갑게'로 부탁했다 추가로 영어로 '콜드' 라고 분명하게 말했는데 결국 면을 뜨겁게 줬다!! 다찌안으로 이어지는 통로가 너무 비좁다 '스미마셍' 을 외치면서 안으로 들어가는게 좀 힘든부분이였고 내부는 조금 어두운 조도이며 실내는 습기가 좀 있는편이다 다찌길이는 약 30센치로 좀 짧은편에 의자간격도 좁은 편이다 라멘을 즐기기엔 조금 비좁은 공간이라 아쉬운부분이다 벽면엔 옷걸이가 있어서 그곳에 가방을 걸어두었으며 물은 셀프로 따라마시면 된다 W스프의 츠케지루가 묵직하니 맛있어 보인다 면을 담은 그릇표면이 아주 유니크하다 츠케지루의 온도는 따듯하고 농후한 츠케지루로써 염도는 짜다 W스프에 충실한 묵직한 지루는 너무 맛있다 츠케지루에 비해서는 조금은 평범해보이는 면이다 차슈가 약간 토치에 의해 탄부분이 있고 전체적으로 수분기가 적은 차슈인데 염도는 보통이고 츠케지루와 찍어먹으면 만족했으나 전체적으론 큰 만족감은 없다 츠케멘이 나오면 차슈는 처음부터 츠케지루에 깊숙히 담가두는게 좋을듯 보는것과는 다르게 의외로 맛있는 면이다 면이 츠케지루안으로 완전히 담기지 않는다 역시나 농후한 츠케지루 면에 츠케지루가 잘 타고 올라오며 동물계와 생선계의 풍미에 면이 잘 어우러진다 맛있다!! 역시는 역시다!! 멘마는 기성형에 특유의 향이 약간 풍기며 염도는 보통이고 만족도는 무난했다 이정도로 맛있는 츠케멘일줄이야!!? 창작라멘을 먹었으면 그 감흥이 배가 되었을텐데 반드시 다음엔 창작라멘을 먹어보고 싶고 다른 지점의 라멘들도 꼭 먹어보고 싶어진다 도쿄는 역시 츠케멘강국인가보다!! 자신의 트위터에서도 자신을 'Ramen Creator' 라 지칭하며 2005년 문을 열어 도쿄에 기반을 둔 '멘쇼그룹' 의 대표이자 센스있는 라멘을 세계 각지역에 알린 쇼노 토무하루(庄野 智治)의 시작점, '멘야 쇼노(麺や庄の)'를 가본다 브레이크타임이 없으니 라멘메니아에겐 감사한 식당이다 점심피크타임을 피해서인지 다행이도 대기줄은 없었다 오늘의 창작라멘을 먹으러 왔는데 이미 매진이다 안타깝다... 역시나 백명점에 오른곳 가려진 하얀색종이를 누르고 싶지만 다음기회에 도전을 해봐야겠다 창작라멘이 워낙 예쁘게 보였는데 역시나 라멘메니아들이 오전부터 줄을 서 다 먹고 간게 틀림없다!! 츠케멘 기본으로 정했다 TRY에서 꾸준하게 올해의 라멘으로 선정된곳인데 2009년 당시의 한스 엔도 사인이 걸려있는게 기분이 좋다 다찌만 15석이 마련되어 있고 내부엔 의외로 관광객외국인들이 많았다 더 특이한것은 점원중 외국인이 세명이며 영어를 사용하는 두명과 중국인 한명이 있었다 아시아계 점원이 두명에 백인이 한명인데 이런 광경은 처음이다!! 접객이 영어로도 이뤄지지만 나에겐 일본어로 츠케멘의 면을 차갑게 할것인지 뜨겁게 할것인지 물어보길래 '차갑게'로 부탁했다 추가로 영어로 '콜드' 라고 분명하게 말했는데 결국 면을 뜨겁게 줬다!! 다찌안으로 이어지는 통로가 너무 비좁다 '스미마셍' 을 외치면서 안으로 들어가는게 좀 힘든부분이였고 내부는 조금 어두운 조도이며 실내는 습기가 좀 있는편이다 다찌길이는 약 30센치로 좀 짧은편에 의자간격도 좁은 편이다 라멘을 즐기기엔 조금 비좁은 공간이라 아쉬운부분이다 벽면엔 옷걸이가 있어서 그곳에 가방을 걸어두었으며 물은 셀프로 따라마시면 된다 W스프의 츠케지루가 묵직하니 맛있어 보인다 면을 담은 그릇표면이 아주 유니크하다 츠케지루의 온도는 따듯하고 농후한 츠케지루로써 염도는 짜다 W스프에 충실한 묵직한 지루는 너무 맛있다 츠케지루에 비해서는 조금은 평범해보이는 면이다 차슈가 약간 토치에 의해 탄부분이 있고 전체적으로 수분기가 적은 차슈인데 염도는 보통이고 츠케지루와 찍어먹으면 만족했으나 전체적으론 큰 만족감은 없다 츠케멘이 나오면 차슈는 처음부터 츠케지루에 깊숙히 담가두는게 좋을듯 보는것과는 다르게 의외로 맛있는 면이다 면이 츠케지루안으로 완전히 담기지 않는다 역시나 농후한 츠케지루 면에 츠케지루가 잘 타고 올라오며 동물계와 생선계의 풍미에 면이 잘 어우러진다 맛있다!! 역시는 역시다!! 멘마는 기성형에 특유의 향이 약간 풍기며 염도는 보통이고 만족도는 무난했다 이정도로 맛있는 츠케멘일줄이야!!? 창작라멘을 먹었으면 그 감흥이 배가 되었을텐데 반드시 다음엔 창작라멘을 먹어보고 싶고 다른 지점의 라멘들도 꼭 먹어보고 싶어진다 도쿄는 역시 츠케멘강국인가보다!!
