A solid apart-hotel not too far from Kamata station. The surrounding area has a lot of conveniences, and also a lot of women offering massages. They're harmless, but it can be a little surprising if you're not used to it. Women should feel safe though.
The building itself is again, solid, though a few things fall short. The hallways are musty all the time, and there's even a sort of pet small on the second floor hallway. The hallway carpets need a serious cleaning. The rooms though were very clean and reasonably comfortable. The bunk-bed room looks a little bigger online than it is, but it was fine for two people for 4 days... Any more folks might want to get a bigger room.
We liked the room and the convenience quite a bit. We had an issue with our door lock and it was handled really promptly via their LINE app, which I appreciate. Get LINE if you're going to stay here to get the best service. All of the room amenities worked well!
All in all, a solid option for the price if you need a room with a real table to work at, need to make your own food, and are exploring near the south...
Read moreThis is the second Minn hotel I've stayed in. They don't have desk staff most of the time - you check in via an iPad in the lobby.
The room technically sleeps four, but it's double-bed bunk-beds. There is a compact kitchen table, a fridge and a microwave. Kamata isn't really central, but there are tons of places to eat and drink, and some basic shopping too. Family Mart is right next door.
We found this room cramped but adequate for 4 or 5 nights. The table is just big enough for two people to work on laptops simultaneously. The little kitchenette is useful.
The room was clean and in good repair. The location is not ideal for visiting Tokyo in a touristic way in my opinion, but we were in town on business and the location made sense for us for a few nights. I would happily stay here again if that location was convenient...
Read moreIt was a great place to stay. I stayed there for two weeks and found it very convenient. A Family Mart is just a minute away, and Kamata Station is a five-minute walk. There are also several salons and barbers nearby. The area boasts a good selection of cafes and restaurants. If you enjoy exploring on foot, the neighborhood is quite beautiful.
Room service is provided every three days, but you can request towels or additional soap as needed.
The toilet is good. There’s a shower with a bathtub, a separate powder room, and a toilet.
The room is small but efficient. It includes a top-load washing machine, a fridge, a sink, a microwave, and an electric stove.
The security to enter the hotel and room is by number. But unfortunately our room door can’t work, have to use key.
Overall it’s a good stay....
