unito CHIYODA — Hotel in Tokyo

Unito Chiyoda gets the job done, but I wouldn't stay here again. The main reason is the location, but there are some other downsides as well. For positives, the staff are really nice and the place is relatively modern. The place has smart locks for the outside and individual floors. The furnishings are nice and not ugly. There's a shared workspace and a kitchen as well on the 2nd floor. The capsule is very big, so much that you could use your laptop in there and the lighting inside is very comfortable. However, Unito Chiyoda is a 12+ minute walk to any nearest station and there are better locations within the same price range. Also, the bathroom is kinda awkward. The mens showers are on the first floor, while the capsules are on the 4th and 5th floors... The sink of said bathroom is fully exposed to the lobby and that feels kinda embarassing. It was also a bit busy around 1am at night, people waiting to brush...

Located just off the Kanda River, it's a little bit of a hike from Akihabara and Bakuroyokoyama stations, but overall, a decent little capsule hotel. The pods can get a little stuffy, but there's plenty of storage space for a light traveler. The two staff I interacted with were very polite, spoke great English, and gave very clear instructions. The showers were well equipped with more than enough hot water to go around. There's a 7-11 a 5 minute walk from the hotel where you can get breakfast to bring back to a VERY well equipped common space. スタッフによる深夜の騒音行為がありました。

7月13日夜、 施設内の2階共用ルームにおいて、受付スタッフを含む複数名の方々（おそらく5〜6名、外部の人もいた可能性あり)が音楽を流し、飲酒も伴う集まり（誕生日パーティのようなもの）を開催していました。 夕方ごろに最初に確認し、深夜0時過ぎても集まりは続いていた。

その間、時に他の階まで響くほどの声量での談笑や笑い声が発生し、彼らが居る時は共用スペースは安心して居られず、使う気になれませんでした。(宿泊料金に含まれているはずなのに)

共用ルーム内は「21時以降は静かに利用すること」との注意書きがあったが、そのルールが施設スタッフ自身によって破られていた。 その他施設ルールに関して、 施設内のそこかしこに英語で「我々のルールを守るように」とやたらと強調した張り紙があり、宿泊者(特に外国人向け)には厳格にルール遵守を求める一方、施設管理者側がそれを率先して逸脱していた事実は、モラル的に問題のある行為だと感じた。

また、共用スペース内にスタッフ関係者のものとおぼしき私物（楽器や食品など）が継続的に置かれており、共用スペースが半ば私物化されている印象を受けました。

約3ヶ月前のレビューにも同様に、スタッフの態度への指摘が別の利用者からなされているのを確認しましたが、状況が改善した様子はみられず、 この間に何らかの措置("スタッフへの指導の徹底")が講じられていないとしか言いようがなく、 運営側の管理責任もあるのではないかと思います。

設備はまあまあよく、駅近で立地はいい。👏

2025/7/13. Staff were making noise terribly in the common room until midnight.

Five or six staff members, who I believe were the receptionist and other staff members, gathered in the common room on the second floor to hold what appeared to be a party. They were drinking alcohol, playing music, and making so much noise that it echoed throughout the building even after 11:00 p.m. I didn't think they were taking care of other users at all.

There was a sign on the rules of the common area, I believe, asking people to be quiet after 9:00 p.m., but the staff did not seem to be obeying it. There were signs all over the place in English, urging people to follow our rules, but they should follow their own rules first. It was embarrassing.

It seems that the personal belongings of the residents (musical instruments and food) are also left in the common room, and the common room seems to be turned into a private property.

There was a similar review by another person about 3 months ago, but the instruction to the staff has not been improved. Is the management system also okay? I think they should do a better job of "thoroughly instructing the staff.
