As already said in Tripadvisor site, here my thoughts about this restaurant:

We waited for more than 40 minutes in the stairs to eat there. There was no information in English anywhere that a ticket was needed to enter. We waited with almost local people (Japanese natives) and nobody had any tickets. Curiously, ALL Japanese people in front and behind of me and my sister were able to enter with and without tickets.... And even for a Japanese man BEHIND us who had not ticket, a woman staff helped him to get it while for us it was NO.

This reaction is RACIST. It is not because we could not speak japanese and we are not japanese that we could not have the right to have any kind of support or explanation from them....

This restaurant is very famous due to a very popular Japanese TV Series taken scenes here. That attracts lots of visitors to come over and eat here, especially for it's all you can eat raw fish lunch buffet. However, a long long queue is there for the lunch. The lunch buffet is ¥1300/person. Meat time is limited to 50 min only. No left over foods are allowed, ¥500 penalty applied if the foods in your plate is not finished. The foods is just so so, no comparison with other department store restaurants. (at least its price is lower than other buffet restaurants) At least, it will feed you full if you like saw fishes, tuna & salmon. Visiting there once is good...

The wait: Went and stood in line at 11:20, was seated at 12:00 sharp. Was a reasonable wait since it was a big enough place with 156 seats. The food: Lunch buffet is clean and piled with huge plates of sashimi that does get refilled quite frequently. However, the quality of the fish is very mediocre. The salmon is way too fatty with membranes attached to actually be enjoyable, and the tuna is of a better grade than the salmon but cut in huge chunks... do recommend the minced tuna tho. Selection is limited, but is worthy of the price set at 1300yen. Definitely a cheap eat that is worth a try if you are craving a huge amount of sashimi...

【Eating in Tokyo - Summary Part 1】 Japanese-favorite restaurants, both popular and niche #TokyoFood -------------------------- 🐮🐮🐮 Beef 🔺Kisoji Japanese Shabu-Shabu and Sukiyaki, the beef is quite good, considered a mid-to-high-end Wagyu restaurant in Japan. They also serve grilled fugu, but it's not recommended to try as it's easy to get the cooking time wrong and end up with an upset stomach [sweatR] 🐾Chain store, just search the name on GoogleMap to find the nearest location 🔺Ningyocho Imahan High-end traditional Sukiyaki, similar to Kisoji, they have Japanese staff in kimonos serving you, but this is a more established, older restaurant, usually frequented by wealthy Japanese and Chinese [shyR] 🐾Also a chain, can be found on GoogleMap. For those who care about the ambiance, the "Asakusa branch" is recommended, an old-fashioned Japanese garden-style restaurant~ 🐟🐟🐟 Sashimi 🔺Taico Chaya A niche tuna shop, mainly dealing with auction-grade tuna. I've been there five or six times and never encountered Chinese foodies, but there's a Chinese staff member, so no worries if you don't speak Japanese. Sometimes you can get a fish head for 3000 yen or a fish neck for 2000 yen, super affordable. Of course, you can just watch the fun too, there's even a rock-paper-scissors game where you can win fish. Must-try: Fatty Tuna 🐾2-3-2 Bakurocho, Nihonbashi, B1F 🍱🍱🍱 Unagi 🔺Chikuzan Unagi A specialty unagi (eel) restaurant, frequented by celebrities. Hidden in a small alley near Nihonbashi. I didn't expect that after posting the location on WeChat, many friends went to try it and all said it was delicious~ The first time I ordered a four-piece unagi set, which was a bit too much and greasy, the second time I ordered three pieces, which was just right~ 🐾15-16 Kobakurocho, Nihonbashi 🍻🍻🍻 Izakaya 🔺Izumaru Suisan Not a traditional izakaya, but perfect for night owls. This is a 24-hour seafood barbecue place~ Besides grilled seafood, their fried chicken (okay, fried chicken is good everywhere in Japan) and grilled potatoes are recommended. 🐾Chain store, GoogleMap 🔺Hananomai A traditional Japanese izakaya, open until very late (I don't know the exact time, just know that we always eat until the early hours and it's still crowded). They offer a wide range of Japanese dishes, sashimi, oysters, fried chicken, grilled fish (hoke) and more~ For drinks, they have many options, if you're a girl who doesn't like sake or beer, they have a lot of fruity shochu cocktails (called sawa), just choose your favorite fruit flavor! The alcohol content is very low~ 🐾Chain again 🦀🦀🦀 🔺Kani Doraku Specializes in king crab, usually ordered as a course meal. Many Chinese customers, with Chinese menus, the prices on the menu are per person. Each course is very rich, including crab sashimi, boiled crab, fried crab, crab meat steamed egg, etc. 🐾Chain again

11 days in Tokyo, this is the worst meal I’ve ever had. In general, the restaurant is quite dirty. Forcing customers to put on gloves when they get the food. However, when we put the gloves on the table, we found it so dirty! No AC at all which is quite hot. The staff there are quite rude which I have never experienced in Japan. The sashimi is not that fresh as expected. Maybe this is local taste but I strongly suggest all tourists to avoid this restaurant. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
