Taisho Yufunohana / Secret Hot Springs: Drops of Heaven and Earth — Hotel in Yufu

Love this place! I was at beppu area before my stay here at yufuin. I felt the onsen here is better than the one at beppu? (Maybe personal preference) The onsen here felt like there was more minerals and we left with our skin feeling smoother. The onsen at beppu didn’t give the same experience. (I’m comparing to the footbath at the hells of beppu and my stay at one of the ryokans there) This place is also significantly less crowded than the onsens in beppu. (But I also checked in on a Monday 🙃)

The staff are friendly and helpful! They don’t speak English but we communicated via translator app.

When driving in, the accoms is on the right and the private onsen is on the left. I think you can park on either side and I parked on the left and saw the sign “information”. I thought it was like tourist information counter 😅😅. The counter is a small building on its own and it looked like those ticketing office so I ignored it and walked around the premise trying to find the check in counter which I assumed would be inside the accoms building. The staff was trying to direct me to the reception counter which is the small building but I thought he was from another business 🤣 anyways!! I managed to check in finally and there was an option to use the family/private onsen or the outdoor bath. We chose family bath and we could use the family bath anytime that day and even the next morning! They showed us to our designated family bath and also led us to our room. We didnt have to pay extra for the use of the family...

I enjoyed staying at this old Japanese style villa with great hot spring in the bathroom. The hosts are very very nice, they picked us up at the JR station, took us to convenient store and send us to the destination we want. I have no other words but highly recommend this...

한국인 리뷰가 많이 없어서 이용하시는 한국인분들 참고하시라고 리뷰써봅니다~! 일단 위치는 유후인 역에서 걸어서 35분정도 걸리므로 숙소까지 가시는 길에는 택시를 추천해요(유후인 역 앞 택시 정거장에 택시들 있음.낮에도 이용했고 오후 7,8시쯤에도 택시 있는 걸로 봐선 택시가 항상 있는듯) 택시비는 숙소까지 850엔정도 합니당! 숙소에서 걸어서 10분정도 내려가면 관광지고 숙소는 산으로 가는 골목길에 있어 관광지쪽 편의점에서 음식을 사들고 들어가시는 걸 추천해요(산길이라 숙소주위엔 불이 켜져있긴하나 어두움) 사장님과 일하시는 직원분들 친절하세요 ~ 파파고 사용하시면서 어느정도는 소통가능했어요!! 2025년 1월 1일 기준으로 사진에 나오는 커다란 공용 노천탕은 이용이 불가능했지만 가족탕은 이용가능했는데 일행끼리만 들어가서 시간제한없이 물온도 원하는만큼 조절하면서 실컷 온천했어요 굉장히 좋았슴니다! 체크인하면 잠을자고 화장실이 있는 객실 하나, 샤워기있는 가족탕 하나를 배정받는데 객실 내부엔 샤워기가 없어서 가족탕이 있는 곳으로 가서 샤워해야하고 가족탕에는 화장실이 없어요 이거는 주의하셔야 할 것 같아요..!! 일회용칫솔이나 빗같은 기본 일회용품은 프론트에 있으니 챙겨가시면 됩니다 샴푸,린스,바디워시도 다 준비되어 있어요! 가이세키나 유카타같은 것들은 없지만 제한없이 원하는 물온도로 료칸 이용할 수 있는 게 여기 제일 큰 장점같아요 물도 미끌미끌해서 피로가 싹 풀렸습니다^^ 상시 가능한지는 모르겠으나 체크아웃할 때 역까지 태워달라하니 태워주셨어요 ! 필요하신분은 문의해보셔도 될 것 같아요

유후인내 타료칸에 비해 저렴하고 시설도 좋았어요 다음...
