Seiko-en — Local services in Yufu

The bus tour took me to the ryokan early around lunchtime, but nevertheless, the shuttle bus service operated, so I was able to comfortably return to the ryokan by bus in the evening after seeing Yufuin.There were two Korean employees, and I was grateful that they were so kind, including all the other employees. TV/refrigerator/safe/toilet, etc. are provided at the accommodation, and 4 bottles of water and daily wear (yukata) are rented as standard.Both men's and women's baths had indoor/outdoor baths, and they were clean, stylish, and very nice. All basic face wash products are provided, and on weekdays, there are few people, so it seemed like I rented it and used it.It was good that you can enjoy the family bath privately with your group, but the unfortunate thing is that the use time is about 40 minutes, so women may feel that it is not enough. Just go to the general bath again.Kaiseki was provided for dinner and breakfast, and dinner was a course meal, so I ate very well without liking or disliking. The last wagyu really melts. The sake sold separately was also delicious, and my parents were very satisfied.A variety of breakfasts are provided for each individual at once, and it was nice to be able to taste new side dishes with the feeling of a high-end Japanese home-cooked meal.I thought it would be better to simply look at the price and go to a regular hotel and a public bath separately, but I changed my mind after visiting Seikoen for the first time.The shuttle bus service on the first day and the return day, two meals a day, unlimited bath use, the quality of the accommodation, the beauty of the surrounding natural environment, and above all, the kindness of the staff make you look forward to your next visit.I would like to visit here again later this year or next year if possible. Koreans recommend.The unfortunate thing is that it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Lake Kinriko, but it can be a little difficult because it is uphill on the way back. Lovely location and nice facilities. The onsen water has a silky feel and is quite unique.

This ryokan has 10 rooms and appears to be quite popular with Korean tourists. It is on the larger side of ryokans and therefore has two public onsen baths (one woman and one men) - each with an indoor and an outdoor soaking area. There is also two private baths available for a 50 min reservation slot - once per day, per room.

The dining is in a common dining room. The food is good with a strong emphasis on fresh seafood and local produce and beef.

The staff is polite and friendly. We stayed during a winter storm and we came out during the morning with some of the snow removed from our car. There appears to also be a shuttle service that the ryokan provides for those who arrived by train.

The room is modern and lovely. The blankets were not fully covered in sheets - rather it looked like a sock, which left the top portion of the blanket open and exposed. I don’t believe the blankets are cleaned after each stay so it is not particularly sanitary. Two of our blankets had body odor/sweat smell likely due to other guests who may have laid on top on the unprotected portion of the blanket.
