So when I first visited Bonita Inn, it was in spring 2010, my sister and I were looking for an average priced, clean and cosy, boutique hotel in Amman. I won't lie to you and say that Bonita Inn wasn't that. Our stays in 2010, 2011 and 2012, were all nice and comfy!||||But last March (2014), I had a bad experience at the hotel, and therefore I assumed it was a one time "mischief" (the room I stayed in has a lot of mosquitoes, I had allergy, had to sleep in an upstairs room that wasn't prepared or tied up, the morning breakfast was so poor etc.).||||So, let's count the good advantages of this Inn, based on the several good times I stayed there with friends or family:||1. The location in Amman is superb:||- around 30-35 mins from airport||- easily accessible (known by most taxi drivers)||- easy to get a cab at any moment||- 15 mins walk from Rainbow street||- 25 mins walk from Old Amman||- has a calm surrounding, and near it a bank and a pub||||2. It is a small boutique hotel, similar to an old house turned into a hostel:||- always book for the double room that has a view on the tarrasse (it is the best equipped room)||- the inn has the BEST spanish/mediteranean restaurant in town||- the inn also has an Irish pub (might be a bad thing if you're trying to sleep and drunk people are yelling downstairs)||- WiFi is free (as far as I remember)||- And breakfast is generous (with the exception of this one bad time)||||3. If you're a breakfast person you'll enjoy:||- a variety of breads||- a variety of hot drinks||- a variety of dairy products and yummy cheeses||- fruit jam||- and home made cakes||||4. Rooms are clean (part. the one recommended above), but please note:||- Price is OK (it's an average priced hotel)||- Linens are clean and bathrooms||- I advise to bring your shampoo and shower gel and some good cream (because the weather is dry even in winter).||||Good luck,||And I'm available for...
Read moreRecently stayed at Bonita Inn - was the first time for me - during a recent trip to Jordan.||||Overall, the experience was VERY pleasant. ||* Location is very good if you are looking to be in the center of Amman||* Staff is very pleasant||* Room was clean and spacious enough - to my standards||* Tried a few dishes at the restaurant and they were REALLY excellent (try the grilled prawns for ex., to me, they are absolutely stunning in their accompanying sauce)||||One things to keep in mind is that the place is also a restaurant... so during summer days, at night, guests can stay around late... ||So if you wanna sleep early and have difficulties to fall asleep when there is noise outside, depending of your room location in the hotel, you might have issues, despite the thick windows (I didn't have any issue to fall asleep myself, despite guests still being outside).||||The only minus for me is the breakfast... Honestly, nothing to write home about...but I consider Bonita as a mid-range hotel for Amman... so I understand some things have to give sometimes. ||||So overall, a very pleasant experience, although not everything was top notch (again, breakfast can eaaaaaasily be improved). But (1) being in the center of Amman and (2) at reasonable prices, and (3) with a very pleasant staff, I'll come back...
Read moreWent to this restaurant with some business guests. Had a total of 43 guests that came from overseas. Wanted to take them to a nice place to dine in and enjoy the food and service. 1- food quality was at best subpar 2- set menu was supposed to be 15 JDs however was charged 20 JDs. 3- staff walking past and bumping into me and my guests without saying sorry. (I understand that mistakes happen but when this happens multiple times without a single apology then it gets a bit ridiculous). 4- food portions were not enough to feed a child let alone a grown man. 5- asked for a discount towards the end as the restaurant didn’t meet the standards that were promised however the owner absolutely refused to give the slightest of discounts.
In summary, this will be the last time I visit this place for food. For the price that was paid here I could’ve taken my guests to the intercontinental hotel where the service would’ve been much better. 10/10 DO...
