The place is nice. Had a reservation n was seated immediately. The place n food is good and i do recommend. However, my issue with service is a few things. 1. We waited a while before anyone took our order and I actually had to call someone n say please take my order. 2. The waiter made no recommendations or suggestions and didn’t seem welcoming. 3. I asked for daily special said there was non I ordered my food and wife’s and he didn’t ask if I would like appetizers or nothing, being that i didn’t see any appetizers im used in Italian restaurants (living all my life in America before coming here) I mentioned weird u don’t have any Calamari or anything he says oh we do but not in menu so i ordered that. We got dinner i had risotto which flavors were absolutely amazing the 3 starts is because the rice was underdone n that was upsetting. Ravioli was really good but stuffing was inconsistent. Did i like the food yes n will I visit again probably as I want to see if risotto was a one off and usually is perfect.

I have been coming to this restaurant since forever, great food and service, nice setting. Took my dad for a treat, he had the grilled seafood platter which was cooked to perfection, though is quite substantial so ease up on the antipasti! I had Cannelloni Al Forno, also delicious, couldn’t finish. Recommend to limit appetizers to either one antipasti or a salad but not both, main meals are a good size. When the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see a family discount, a nice touch. Meal with drinks ended up costing 70jds with tip, 35 per person for such quality food is not a bad deal at all, highly recommended. My only complaint though is that they allowed a table of big shots to smoke, and there was a lot of it going on, which prompted the rest of the tables to start smoking, that really impacted our enjoyment of the meal, especially that I am allergic to it too. Sends the wrong msg; that the comfort of the rest of the clientele does not matter, I would expect more from a place like Romero.

The thing I love about Romero is it's consistency. I am not talking about a year or two, I have been eating there for the past 35 years. I have to admit that I should go there more. The seating is nice a on the edge between being crowded and comfortable. However, the service and food are excellent. I highly recommend it and go ahead order an antipasti, promo, second and dessert., you can't go wrong with any item. Today we were 9 people and had a variety of dishes from Sea bass, which you should always make sure it is fresh by asking the head waiter, to black Angus medallions, to Ravioli to their signature 3 types of pasta dish, to veal Melanesie to fillet of beef. For starters the bresaola and smoked salmon and endive salad, Marco Polo salad and spring salad were all excellent and we returned clean plates... Dessert was outstanding especially the creme breule which other restaurants should learn from..yummm to say the least. A definite repeat. And my hat to the whole establishment.

Very nice food, comfortable chairs. you could have a nice experience there with some upgrades, and I recommend it, And I will pay it more visits for its good food. Yet:

  1. TABLE ARRANGEMENT: the problem came when our company reserved an Iftar in summer Ramadan and the restaurant had to arranges tables. the place turned crowded and we had a very bad open menu experience as we had to make at least 4 eating people stand out of their seats to make us walk through (one time in, one time out, multiplied by Three).
  2. ORIENTATION: I just wanted to fill my glass with lemon juice, holding my and my wife's glasses and turning around, excuse me, I need lemon juice, sir! please ask one of the captains to get juice. I've been setting for 20 minutes with empty glassed in front of me and now one asked me if I need juice. you sure don't expect me to ask for juice while food collection is self service.
  3. SERVICE: after asking for juice I had to ask twice, as seems the first captain I asked forgot about me. and I added another 10 mins of waiting over the first 20.
  4. TOO HOT: Very nice terrace, but with 120 person setting in a 25 degrees night with no fans or stand alone ACs. we had to leave as soon as we finished eating. It was a bad experience.
  5. VALLET PAYMENT: After reserving in such level of restaurant I don't expect to pay the same restaurant's valet!? 2JDs please. Yeah.. wait please.. Excuse me!! anyone have 2JDs?? I do pay by visa, I don't carry cash usually. Now I'm...

I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant during Ramadan. I had made a reservation for breakfast three days in advance, and I was looking forward to breaking my fast with friends and family. However, upon arrival, we were informed that our reservation was not in their system.

I provided proof of my reservation, and instead of being accommodating, the manager was dismissive and initially wanted us to leave. After some back and forth, he begrudgingly gave us a table, but it was a far cry from what we were expecting. The table was situated right next to the kitchen, where we were constantly disrupted by the hustle and bustle of the staff coming in and out.

We were hoping for a pleasant and serene environment in which to break our fast, but the constant noise and chaos ruined the experience for us. To make matters worse, the service we received was extremely poor. Our waiter seemed to be more focused on the kitchen staff than attending to our needs, and we were not even offered something as simple as water.

Overall, the poor management, terrible service, and lack of consideration for our special occasion left us feeling extremely disappointed. I cannot recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a peaceful and enjoyable breakfast...

Extremely poor in organizing and managing. The staff are absolutely lazy . I waited 20 minutes to have the main course on the table after the appetizers were done , and it was really frustrating. I didnt even try to order desserts because i knew I’m going to wait for another 20 minutes minimum. Tables were empty yet they gave us the worst table . It was really crowded, tables are too close to each other . And it was hot ! The band playing in the background were tooo noisy and gave me headache . Also , i do not appreciate allowing teenagers younger than 13 in a place that serves alcohol. They were very hyped up and kept shouting and walking around. I wanted a calm dinner but ended up with headache. I had to google the dishes because the staff did not explain the ingredients thou i asked twice , they lake knowledge . The menu didnt have any explanation, and the staff weren’t responsive. I have bad allergies, i had to google everything! I do understand its an Italian restaurant but you are in an arabian country that cares about hygiene. No bidet !!! Paper towels...
