Myself and a friend stayed 3 nights in October. Our rate included breakfast.

Souvenir shop. -Helpful staff - Eyad at breakfast was particularly helpful. -Free WiFi - no login required. -Two lifts to all floors. Stairs. -Room 212 - twin beds. twin single beds. Keycard entry. Welcome letter and sweets. Two sliding door cupboard hanging space and shelves, electronic safe (free). Suitcase stand. Desk & chair, lamp, coffee machine, tea & coffee making facilities with kettle. Fridge (complimentary soft drinks, bottled waters & crisps). Wall-mounted LG TV (multiple TV channels incl BBC News English). Floor lamp. Beds with bedside tables. Telephone. Large wall mirror. Cons: -Porter to room scowled at us for not tipping him. However, we always tip at the end of any stay. Not a good first impression and a disappointing start after a long and tiring journey from Amman. -Steep and slippery section of road in front of hotel.
Notes: -On my first day in Petra I walked through the Siq, the narrow sandstone gorge leading to the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh), then along the Street of Facades, past the Theatre, to explore the Royal Tombs carved into the cliffs. I also hiked the Al-Khubtha Trail (1 hour each way) for an elevated view of the Treasury. -On my second day in Petra I took the free shuttle bus from the Visitor Centre car park, then the Jeep (5 JD) to visit Little Petra & the entrance of the ‘back door’ trail, which I walked to the impressive Monastery (Ad-Deir), one of Petra’s largest monuments & viewpoints above the Monastery for sweeping desert vistas. On your way back, to the main entrance I visited the Great Temple and Colonnaded Street. -On my last day I visited Petra Museum (free entry) across the road from the hotel. -In Petra I recommend wearing sturdy shoes and bringing plenty of water. -I ate evening meals at the hotel (twice - restaurant and in-room) and The Cave Bar...

It is not service in the sense of servitude—it is service born from pride. Every member of the staff carries themselves with dignity, generosity, and a true joy in sharing their culture. It feels less like being “helped” and more like being welcomed into something beautiful that they are proud to be part of. This pride is contagious, and it reflects perfectly the spirit of Jordan.||||Although we wished we spoke better Arabic, never once were we made to feel uncomfortable. Every interaction was kind, patient, and understanding. We sincerely wish we could name each person we met, because without exception, they made our stay unforgettable.||||The rooms are impeccable—spotless floors, soft towels, comfortable beds—and our room offered a breathtaking view of the desert and mountains. You can feel history itself in the landscape.||||The location could not be more perfect: a short and easy walk to Petra, the museum, the main city, and shuttles that can take you further into the mountains. Truly the best base for exploring this ancient wonder.||||Both restaurants deserve special mention. Breakfast was a revelation—simple dishes elevated to perfection, from the eggs to the croissants, each prepared with care and excellence. Every plate carried a sense of refinement and authenticity that impressed us greatly.||||The rooftop is the crown jewel: a perfectly tempered pool, Jacuzzi, stunning views, and a night tea ceremony that feels magical—especially after trekking through Petra. There is no better place to unwind after 12 km in the desert.||||At Petra Moon Luxury Hotel, we arrived as guests and left as friends. This is not just a place to stay—it is a place that will...
Read moreWe stayed at Petra Moon Luxury Hotel with our tour group for two nights. Not to be confused with the neighbouring hotel names Petra Moon Hotel. It is perfectly located for easy access to Petra the ancient city. It’s about 200m from the entry although up a very short steep hill. The hotel itself is a true example of 5 star. The lobby is grand and scented just right. The breakfast service staff were very attentive, well mannered and impeccably dressed. The food on offer is what you would expect from a luxury hotel. The room top pool area also great. The only issue being the floor tiles are extremely slippery when wet which is basically all the time. The room we had was a twin and it had plenty of room for our luggage to not make the room feel crowded. The furniture was well maintained and looked very modern while keeping in line with the luxury theme. The bathroom was a good size with an oversized marble shower with rain head and hand held head as well as a tap. A seperate bidet is also in the room. The vanity unit was backlit through the marble which looked very nice. The room pinned was crisp and clean yet not scratchy. We highly recommend this hotel for your...
