Firstly, the owner is a nice and generous guy who enjoys running a hostel. We arrived late and were offered free raki, beer and good conversation. Unfortunately, we found that our stay was more negative than positive. The heater has death rattle whenever it is switched on. The blankets seriously need a wash &/or dry clean. There were obvious stains. They may have never been washed before and there wasn't even a proper top-sheet to separate your body from the stinky blanket. The beds had springs that poked you in all your soft spots (believe me, I've slept in bad beds, but this was bad) the breakfast was a slice of spam, with capsicum spread, stale bread, cheese square and some fig jam. Could benefit with even offering milk with the coffee. We had to catch an early bus out of Kosovo and waited and waited for the 'morning guy' (a ray of sunshine...) to arrive at 8:30 to set up the breakfast so we could pay. We eventually had to leave our payment under the tip jar and leave because there were no staff in the hostel and we would miss our bus. There was no email listed online, their website is incomplete and we tried calling them that afternoon to tell them, but...

I wouldn't recommend this place for solo travellers. ||The beds were not that comfortable and despite there being air conditioning in the rooms the temperature never dropped below 30C which made sleeping nearly impossible.||There is one bathroom per floor which was never a problem for me as the hostel was empty, even at the beginning of August.||The rooftop terrace was very nice and the hostel is located close to the old town and only 15 minutes to the bus station on foot.||As others have said, staff memebers are quite difficult to find and not always around to check you in/out, provide information or...
Read moreWhen we arrived in the hostel, it is true as we can read in other comments that it felt like a ghost building. When we arrived there was just one person coming to welcome us with a little english and it seemed a bit empty. But first the beddorma a very clean just the same as the bathroom. |In the night the owner and a cousin directly came to us and invite us to have some drink with us. They were very nice. The other days here we came to meet other people in the hostel and it went very fine. For a lonely travellers it might not seem the best hostel , but just stay in the lobbye and you will...
