Peahen Residence — Hotel in Sigulda

Being privileged and blessed to have travelled to and stayed at hotels / apartments / bed and breakfasts at over 60 plus countries around the world I can confidently say staying at Peahen was one of the finest experiences ever. ||I stayed here for a total of 3 nights in the month of August 2018 in the room called the blue room on the top floor. It was a very spacious, neat, tidy and clean room with a nice attached terrace and a wonderful and large bathroom with a massive and comfortable bathtub. The bed and sheets were very comfortable and I got great rest and sleep for all my 3 nights. ||The breakfast was delicious, home made and fresh ! The property had the advantage of being located between ( only a pleasant and comfortable 4 minute walk ) both the central bus / train station as well as the bus station ( raibas suns ) which takes you to the smaller towns of Ligatne, Cesis etc. ||The highlight of this stay for me however, were the owners who took tremendous efforts and went out of their way to ensure that I had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay. They were very kind and hardworking people who gave out good, positive vibes. They provided me with great tips on what to see and where to eat and even picked me up dropped me back to the station. What more could I ask for ? ||If this property is within your budget do not hesitate one bit to stay here. You will certainly not...

I booked one night at Peahen Residence on my way to a sports event, based mainly on price and location. It greatly exceeded expectations and I wish I'd stayed longer. The couple who own the guesthouse have individually decorated each room to a theme, so they are quirky and individualistic. I was warmly welcomed, given a quick guide to the main sites and places to eat in Sigulda, and spent a comfortable night. The guest house is 5-10 mins walk from the centre of Sigulda and (in the other direction) less than 10 mins to a shopping mall and supermarket on the bypass. But it's in a very quiet residential street. I opted for breakfast and it was fantastic - all manner of fruits, cheeses, meats, yoghurt, cereals, omelette (with home-grown veg), etc. All in all, a really nice guesthouse, very fairly priced, with wonderful owners who know the value of...

The property is a lovely house just a few minutes walk from the town centre and train station. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and flexible with check-in process. They checked throughout the trip that we were happy and comfortable. ||Our room was very nice but quite small and it was also located two floors above the toilet and three above the shower. This was not a problem for us but might be for people who need regular access to a bathroom. ||Other than this the property was lovely, Sigulda is a great place to stay and the hosts could not have been more helpful.
