The staff is absolutely failing. I already had a long back and forth phone calls and messaging with them for THREE DAYS to try to get them to GET IT RIGHT. When we arrived - of course NOTHING was right or - as promised. I was promised room on the first floor, since there is no lift for guests. Also rooms upstairs are too hot in the summer time. DIDN'T get it. I was promised upgrade to a business class room for extra 10 € - did NOT get that either. Just as when i was calling them before - seems to be the rule, that women working at the reception are unpleasant, UNprofessional, impolite,... The hotel has a spa/ pool, but does NOT have ANY place to dry your towels or swimwear. Early in the morning there was suddenly a very strong and unpleasant stench from sewage pipes. NO air conditioning. Just one, tiny and cheap plastic fan. But beds are on opposite sides of the room, so it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to have the fan blowing on both guests at the same time. Read moreThe hotel administrator when checking in really seemed like she did not want to be there and was quite rude - information given was scarce and my husband read most of the information usually given by staff on a leaflet in our room. I had mentioned that we will be arriving with a newborn and that a cot is needed and instead a bed meant for a 1 year old was put in and I was barely able to get the baby in and out of the bed. Thank god I brought my own bedding for the baby too, as it seemed like someone just cut a bedsheet in half and put that in the bed. We stayed in the family room - the floor was loud in some places, bedding though washed seemed dirty with random spots and everytime someone flushed the toilet either in our room or the room next to us a god awful sound arose. While the food was blend, but OK I was heavily disappointed by the service in the restaurant. The employees didn't have any smile, no kindness and seemed to be grumpy all the time. Especially the senior waiter seemed absolutely wrong for the hospitality industry. I can not remember, when I felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. Instead of (the intended plan of) eating a dessert and drinking a coffee, my plan was to get as quickly out of the restaurant as possible.
I visited the restaurant already a dozen times. Unfortunately the staff changed, and you can taste it in the food and feel it in the provided hospitality. This was probably my last visit. Sad!
