Manja Hotel, Kota Kinabalu — Hotel in Borneo

I have stayed here for couple of times, nothing to be compared to the experience i have during my stay in this hotel, u actually get alot than what u have paid. booked using online apps and manage to get great deals, the problem is, its hard to book here as i gues its popular among the tourist and it is also nearly located to the Imago shopping mall, not suprised if u have a hard time to book a room esp by online booking. ||Below I stated the pros(+) and cons(-)||+Spacious room|+Shower is HUGE (they provide two showers in the bathroom) idk the purpose of it but its cool|+i love movie channels in my room, and they have it, so kudos to that|+clean room and bed sheets|+proper lighting|+friendly and helpful staffs|+single bed is actually queen sized thats neat||-no water heater|-still uses the tradiotional keys rather than...

We opted for this location (Times Square) because we were only in KK for the weekend and it was right next to the new shiny mall, Imago, which had the latest and best shops in KK. It is of walking distance so we could return to our rooms mid/after shopping to rest or drop our purchases. It is very near to eateries that open into the night, and a 7/11 a few walks away.||||The room is very basic, bed was fine and there is water heater (thank goodness), fridge, basic soap, shampoo. There is however strangely no mat for the toilet. There is no hairdryer. The shower condition was weird, the water seemed to spray only at the sides (don't think they were adjustable). There was TV with good channels but the remote control didn't work. There is daily housekeeping. Our wifi didn't work at all. ||||The place is good for...

Location wise, it is very convenient as the hotel is located right smack in the middle of Kota Kinabalu. A new mall called Imago is less than 5 minutes walk away. Food cravings are easily satisfied as there is a 24h Nasi Kandar stall near the hotel. A couple of 24h convenience stalls are also in the vicinity.||||Hard rock is about 10-15 minutes walk away along the waterfront depending on your pace. Pasar malam or night market(local food and souvenirs) will take an additional 10 minutes walk.||||The rooms are clean and comfortable and beds are comfy for a good nights rest.
