The Fishmarket Restaurant 海上人家 Hai Shang Ren Jia (serve no pork) — Restaurant in Borneo

I was seated promptly upon arrival, and the waitress attended to me quickly. I ordered rice with tomyam soup and fish slices. She recommended an add-on, which I agreed to. However, when the food arrived, I was served tomato soup instead. I informed the waitress that I had ordered tomyam soup, but she insisted that she had written down tomato soup and refused to make any changes, even though I hadn’t touched the food. She simply apologized and said there was nothing she could do since the food was already served. While the food was decent and the environment pleasant, the service was disappointing. It’s unacceptable for customers to bear the consequences of staff errors.

Delicious, fried fish were fresh, the tomato based soup was sour with hamchoi taste, delicious 🤤. Rm25 for mix prawn balls and fried fish. Chinese teh ping is RM1, the calamansi sour plum juice RM6 waz nice too. Chili not spicy.

Double check the bill coz the cashier overcharged us by RM5 thinking we ordered 2 calamansi. Already rectify the issue.

Grouper, Senangin, Snapper are the many choices of fishes available here. Tomato soup and Sawi soup is the best choices here. Fish appears fresh, and not hard when served. Portion is big, able to feed one person comfortably. Takeaways available, and the waiters are very helpful in helping what to decide. Great choice and will definitely come back again.
