Ramenya greets its customer with the welcome sight of a spaciously empty restaurant with many empty tables should be the first sign that something is not what it seems.
There were only 3 other tables besides us and 2 of them already had their food the table. We ordered the ramen with grilled chicken at 1.39pm. At 1.47 we were informed that the grilled chicken could take 6-7mins. At 2.20pm we still haven’t received our food so we enquired about the progress the waiter. He said that the order was still not ready. We asked to cancel the order so we could eat elsewhere but the waiter said orders cannot be cancelled once entered into the system and he then “recommended” we change to other dishes which would be faster. We then opted to switch to karage ramen since the waiter insisted that it could be served immediately. Not 5 minutes after, another waiter came and reprimanded us for attempting to change our order when “it’s almost done” because it’s “difficult to change in the system” despite it being recommended by themselves.
So in the end our food arrived at 2.30pm. The position was smaller than expected and the despite it not tasting too bad the whole experience leaves one wanting.

Read moreMy partner and I ordered two different ramen dishes, but unfortunately, both were disappointing in terms of taste and quality.
Firstly, the ramen noodles were incredibly unappetizing and resembled instant noodles rather than authentic ramen. Furthermore, the eggs provided were far from the anticipated onsen tamago (hot spring egg) quality. They tasted more like regular eggs that had been left out for an extended period, resulting in an unpleasant flavor.
I ordered the Seafood Ramen with Truffle Soup, while my partner ordered the Grill Chicken Ramen with Garlic Miso. Surprisingly, both dishes had an identical taste in terms of the broth. Moreover, there was a noticeably strong and unpleasant fishy odor in the soup broth, making it almost unbearable to consume.
To add to our disappointment, when the dishes arrived at our table, I unintentionally touched the back of one of the bowls and realized it was covered in grease. The initial presentation of the food, as can be observed in the attached photos, was far from satisfactory.
Considering the subpar quality of the food, it was disheartening to discover the relatively high price range of approximately...
Read moreFood: The portion of the food is good but overall lacking in taste wise. It tasted as if they are using cheap ingredients. Their bbq/grilled chicken in their ramen is quite good but when it comes to everything else that I ordered its a mehhh. Ramen broth is thick but lacking in the punch of flavour i would look for in a ramen. Spicy miso is not spicy at all. The fried tempura batter is so disappointing and flavourless. Tasted like your average home cooked food (what’s the point of eating out right?). Lastly, their grilled lamb is not grilled but charred instead. You end up getting all these hard black chunks on your meat. You can’t even enjoy the fatty layer of the lamb anymore as it is charred. It looks like they cooked it on an open fire/stove.
Ambience: The restaurant is spacious but the decorations & lightings are a bit dull/boring.
Service: The service crew are trained properly and was very friendly...
