Merdeka Guesthouse — Hotel in Borneo

I find this option on Booking.com and it is bery cheap but comfortable enough more than what i expected. It only cost me rm 200 for 4D 3N including tax. I get a decent room with queen size bed, nescafe 3 in 1, tea, bathroom including water heater. The room is also clean and suitable to stay for 2 person and 1 child

This house own by an uncle which also very generous that also give me advice and suggestion on a few places around. He also allow me to check in early as 10 am my flight arrive early that day.

Recommended to stay here as it is not really far from Kuching Waterfront as you can take Bot Penambang that only cost you around rm1-2 to go to other side of the river to the waterfront (thanks to uncle suggestion that i can save a lot of money) or else you can walk on Jambatan Darul Hana but you need to walk a...

Stayed here for 6 nights. Price is so reasonable, cheapest in town. Strategic location, near (400m) to Pengkalan Kampung Lintang where you can get a boat to cross the river, for RM1 fare. Easy to find makan place everywhere in Kampung Lintang and by the roadside of Jalan Astana (walking distance). The owner, Pakcik Matnor was also very responsive and never failed to reply my text. There is a fridge and electric kettle in the room, you can ask for iron and iron board. Small pantry outside with basic cooking utensils, small table just outside the room, and washing machine too. Pakcik matnor was very helpful and kind. The place was clean and comfy. There are small refrigerator, tv, electric kettle and on. And it really worth the price. While staying in here, I feel like I was living in authentic malay kampong and that's what I want. The location is very strategic, you can use boat for RM 1 to reach the guesthouse.
