This food center has always been a must visit for me every time I visited Kuching. It is definitely not as good during its prime days 20-30 years ago. The city did some renovations and cleaned up this place so making eating there much more pleasant. Many of the food stalls have the same owner from the time I ate there when young. Food is quality is acceptable - nothing unique but the staple Kuching street food. It can be intimidating for visitor because they have "territories" marked up depends on where you sit. The gula apong ice cream here is legendary as well and still has a lot of customers but the syrup...
Read moreGone by are the days when this place was popular among locals. I went back after years of not eating there. My charsiu chicken rice is nice and average, RM4.50. You can find usual local kopitiam food here, ie. Laksa, kolomee, fried kueh tiaw, tomato mee, kueh chap, etc. There's gula apong stall that opens at...
