For a place that specializes in "ice kacang" their ice kacang is less than subpar. 1.The shaved ice is not smooth and all melted and clumped together in a big lump making it hard to stir. It felt like they were using crushed ice instead of shaved ice tbh. It wasn't milky enough, need to add more milk and the gula apong syrup..... How shall i put it? You know with the thick consistency, it doesn't melt when it's cold right? Not only did it get stuck on the metal spoon, it also sticks on the ice clump and to the bottom of the bowl. You need to make it the correct consistency and not too thick. It may be suitable for the ice cream gula apong you're selling but definitely the wrong consistency for ice kacang. When our ice kacang reached our table, the ice was all melted and the whole thing was way too watery already. Not too sure if it's due to the overwhelmingly heaty ambience at the front of the shop that melted the ice or the staff adding water into it. Overall, we were very disappointed in the quality since Ice Kacang is in the name of the shop so we expected it to be good. Istg the owners/abc makers need to go try song kheng hai hawker centre ABC and ice kacang to see what it's SUPPOSED to look and taste like. We only came here because our usual spot was closed and we thought it would be nice because they have multiple branches around kuching but sad to say, we won't be returning here...
Read moreI would like to share my recent experience at your establishment, which I believe highlights an opportunity for improvement in customer service.
During my visit, I had a negative encounter with the supervisor trainee stationed at the cashier. As there were no available waitstaff to assist me during peak hours, I began writing down my order using a pen, unaware that this was not permitted. The supervisor trainee proceeded to reprimand me rather sternly, insisting that I should have used a pencil and should remember this for future reference.
I explained that I was not aware of this requirement, as I am a customer and not a staff member familiar with your internal procedures. Despite my explanation, the manner in which I was spoken to felt unprofessional and discourteous.
I would like to respectfully suggest that staff, particularly those in supervisory roles, be trained to handle such situations with greater empathy and professionalism. Clear signage or guidance for customers in self-service situations could also help prevent such misunderstandings.
Customer service is a vital part of any dining experience and reflects directly on your brand's reputation. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively and that appropriate steps will be taken to enhance customer interactions moving forward.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Read moreIG Ais Kacang is somewhat strategically located at the Waterfront area, where there is always a crowd regardless of day and or time. Just from the exterior deco of the place itself, it's obvious that the place easily attracts any sort of audience.
The interior deco and atmosphere is also great. Lively yet chill, vibrant but still comfortable. There is an abundance of tables available with the store stretching towards the back with more tables. I have asked the staff there of the capacity of the back section and it can fit roughly around 40-50 people. Great for hosting a private event as the back section can be closed off. The tables in the front area are still abundantly available.
The lok lok options are decent and tasted great. I ordered teh c special and boi was it huge, tasted great and is worth the price! The price of the food, beverages and dessert were generally worth the price. The cucur choices were a lot! Great place to hangout while snacking.
The only downside is the extremely limited parking space availability as its part of the shophouses, the spaces shares with other shophouses hence obtaining a spot is purely...
