The corner lot adjacent to the post office has been the go-to spot for a large variety of fritters. Combined with two adjacent shops, it has become a spacious, airy - if somewhat noisy - food court with over a dozen stalls. The mee mamak came with noodles of the right springiness, although I figured the sauce was too overpowering. Maybe it's just what I prefer - lighter on sauce, allowing for hints of herbal fragrance to get through. Still, it's an acceptable way to present this local staple. The cucur payak (prawn fritters) appear to be a signature snack - lots of prawns in the fritters in the shape of grenades - and just as explosive taste-wise. We haven't had time to get through more dishes and fritters, but this is definitely a place to tease...

Jul 2024 On kampua stall (Non-halal). Well it was just average, it wasn't a classical style cooked kampua but was okay, and at RM4.00/bowl, it was very affordable consider the serving portion. Mediocre toppings, not salty not greasy, noodles texture was okay.

Coffee was also alright but could have been better. RM2.20/glass.

This place is an all day hotspot for the locals, quite crowded the day I visited. It is famous for a few things like roti jantan, roti kuah banjir (halal), etc.

Serving both halal and non-halal goodies, this place is one of the many truly Sarawak styles 1 Malaysia coffee shop, and you will find just about every race in the shop having their favorite goodies and chat...

Popular kopitiam. I tried the Hua Tan Kuey Tiao (Moonlight Pho noodles). The noodle texture is soft and silky, there is a little wo hei. Quite nice. There is another store selling fried chicken that looks really good too. Gotta try next time. Price rm7

Came to try the fried chicken, not bad. Freshly fried and juicy. 2pcs for rm5. Since it's raining also ordered the Rojak (rm6). The Rojak sauce is thick and not sweet. Like Penang style. However the Rojak is not what I think, it has more doughy stuff than fruits. There is fried sweet potato and nian gao pieces. I feel...
