Momostay — Hotel in George Town

Don’t misplaced your key inside your locker or your room.

They will charge you another RM50, the same rate as the room, just to give their spare key to open yours.

The key was not missing, just got locked inside the locker.

It’s hotel policy they said. I understand that if you lose the key, you need to change the key and the lock and need more money. But for misplacing the key? It’s not fair enough to pay the same rate just to have the locker opened. They will charge you RM50 just to open yours or they will not open your locker. And it was midnight.

They didn’t ask about the situation and charged you directly to open 🤣

It’s a big chance that I’m not the only one who misplaced my key inside my own locker. There will be no one at night to help you if you have anything, only via chat.

Good and clean hotel, clean toilet, But they handled very badly at this issue. Hotel business is about service and none in here.

They said I could get RM10 discount if I give 5-star review as token of appreciation. But is it worth? Why do you get RM10 off people, but on the other hand, charge me RM50 just to give spare key to open my locker?

Do not ever forget your key.

First and last experience...

On the day, received whatsapp providing a step by step on how to enter the hotel.

A locker is outside, in which you can redeem the smart keycard and to open another locker inside. Towels, toohbrush/toothpaste, earplugs and slippers are provided. You can express any concerns through whatsapp.

The toilet has individual stalls with a shower head, toilet and soaps (with no labels so you have to guess). It's a gender neutral toilet so don't be alarmed.

There's even hairdryer and water dispenser provided.

The capsule itself auto locks so remember to get your key card and it has many modes.

Personally, it's super cold in the hallway and cooling in the capsule, but some clients leave the door ajar due to the heat. Even in such a small space, it's resonably quiet but the door creaks really loudly for a lil bit.

Would definitely come here again and recommend.

*I'm around 160 cm and fit the capsule just nicely, so if you're taller than that you might feel...

Stayed here for 5 nights and I absolutely loved this place.

(1) It is at a perfect location in Gurney, within a short drive to Georgetown. (2) Pods were spacious, despite being a capsule pod. Spacious enough for me to be able to change clothes inside the pods. Pods also come with super comfortable pillow, blanket, and mattress. And adjustable cooling power and lighting. Charging ports were also in the capsule. Maybe the only downside is that the room can be a bit warm even at max cooling power but not removing a star because that can easily be resolved by keeping your capsule door slightly ajar to let the aircon from the outside enter. (3) Amenities were perfect. They provided: a giant locker, dental kit, bath towel, and slippers. Toilet is also cleaned daily (from what I saw).
