Recently went there alone for a late lunch after finding a tiktok video about this place a few days earlier.
They got quite a long list of menu to order and after going through them one by one, I ordered a Hawaiian sandwich and Kapitan curry cheese baked rice. Also, ordered a BBQ temptation pizza for takeaway. Orders can be made by scanning a QR code placed on the table.
The place is nice, cosy, and relaxing. I was the only customer there. Before I left, a couple came to dine in too. So, it's nice to enjoy the meal quietly. Service was quite fast, and the waiter was friendly and welcoming.
Waiting time for the food was reasonable. Food was served hot and fresh out of the kitchen.
Now, let's talk about the menus I've tried.
Hawaiian sandwich. I'll give this dish a solid 4/5 coz it's amazing. Bread toasted nicely and crunchy, nice salad dressing, loads of freshly fried fries, and the filling was tasty, full with mushrooms. I enjoyed this a lot.
Kapitan curry cheese baked rice. My expectation on this was quite high for the word "curry" and coz I was hungry for rice. Disappointed with the dish as it doesn't taste like Kapitan/Indian curry at all. It tasted like a very subtle Thai curry with noticeable lemongrass flavour. However, there's a lot of cheese and mushrooms making it quite enjoyable to eat. I didn't finish this as I was already full, and asked the waiter to pack it for takeaway.
BBQ temptation pizza. This one was an okay dish. Nice pizza but that's all. Nothing great. Was expecting it to have BBQ sauce but no. Doesn't even taste like BBQ and too little cheese on the pizza. The capsicum on it overpowered the whole pizza so that's the only flavour we got. You have to pay more for extra cheese. Also there's an additional RM1 for takeaway.
Overall, the food was reasonable. Nice to eat, but nothing too special. All of the food has a generous amount of toppings/fillings so kudos for that.
Will I come again? Yes, to try other menus. Something for a change to enjoy more veggies in our...

We were greeted warmly upon entry, and shown to our table. Ordering was done by scanning a QR code, so we didn't have to wait for a waiter. I appreciate the fact that physical menus were provided as well with larger illustrations so everyone can decide what they want to order at the same time.
The spinach risotto was delicious with the spinach providing a nice counter balance to the savory cheese. The creamy cheeseburger's patty is potato based, and has great flavor. It did cross my mind that I was having a potato burger at some point, but it is still pretty tasty for a vegetarian burger. The kapitan curry cheese bake rice was very lemongrass forward, and while the teenager in my party did not love it, I thought it was pretty unique; think nyonya-style curry with cheese.
The restaurant itself is cosy with limited tables, and while they only have one server, she puts a lot of effort to attend to every table as quickly as possible. They also have a selection of eggless cakes which we didn't get to try, but looked quite tempting. All in all, a great place to try out if you're vegetarian, and happen to be...

There's this vegetarian cafe on Gurney Street in Penang, near the Wong Hotel. If you're into veggie food or just wanna try something different, you should definitely check it out.
They have a rainbow Vietnamese roll that's a must-try for veggie lovers. If you're a fan of Korean food, they've got japchae and bimbimbap. And if you're a salad person, they have a whole bunch of options on the salad menu. I tried the nutty salad with my fam, but it was a bit too sour for me.
They also have a wide range of drinks, like coffee, non-coffee, smoothies, tea, and more. But the most popular choice is the free water, which comes in cold, warm, and hot options.
I highly recommend this place. If you like veggies, or you wanna try something different. I think it's cheaper to eat alone than with a group, That bill was just for 6 adults and 2 kids, and we tried a lot of different...
