I tried my luck at this hotel months ago when I found myself stranded in JB. Bless the auntie at the receptionist, she immediately warned me not to stay at the hotel upon my entering.
I should've listened to her advice immediately, because the horror I saw when she showed me the rooms left me scarred to this day. The first room we encountered in the hallway was missing the doorknob, so she proceeded to lead me to the second room at which point she opened the door. And good lord, the first thing I noticed was the ceiling beam showing on the ceiling. Yes, there were NO CEILING TILES. All the ceiling had been removed, creating a bad horror parody adaptation of an 'open-space' concept. The walls didn't fare any better either, I caught a glimpse of dark stains on it and on other furniture in the room.
The auntie explained to me that the state of the room was a direct result of the OYO hotel company (at that point they were an OYO hotel franchisee, not sure about now) not providing enough funds to cover the maintenance costs, which struck me as pitiable. But no amount of sap story was going to keep me from running away.
Anyway, I left the place and never looked back. If they've split from OYO, hopefully they're doing better now. But most importantly, never again will I trust...

She end up 5 days extra in malaysia to ger the paspport replacement frm the indonesian embassy. The thief finally cought by jb police n admit ge was a staff there, n the hotel staff just delete the cctv coz scared hotel name got viral then just sacked him without informing the police. Thief was caught coz he contacted the victim n tried to sell the passport bacl to the victim. Worst hotel in malaysia. News is viral in local jb...
Read moreThis second time this stupid hotel can go thru agoda booked fully paid the end at 12.30am said fully booked. Worst experiance and totally staff service and explanation are like animal. Even I talk to a gorilla they will show me signage language but this bunch of service staff is from another world either hang up call or chase u out from hotel. I’m not expect service from low budget hotel but not fully booked and then kick u out and said fully booked at 1am when fully paid.
